We were 8-14 points behind in Jan-Feb, to come back and make it a race on the final day despite the ridiculous fixturing is all we can ask for. Proud of these lads, we'll never see their like again

For the record, think City will do Villa 4-0 with an early goal inside 10 minutes
Think so too. They’re scoring fast and early in matches the last few.
Man city will just throw attackers and dominate Villa. Results were for us to take advantage of, and we didn’t. Drew with Spurs twice. Chelsea away. West Ham loss. Even with 89 points this season and 97 a few seasons ago, still not enough for outright winners by even Week 35. Ridiculous

Just so proud to be an LFC supporter. We have been treated to some unbelievable play in the last few years. We are just very unlucky to have come up against one of the best sides to ever play the game. Given the fact we couldn't beat City Chelsea or Spurs in six games I will have no complaints if Villa can't come up with a miracle. Its been a fantastic ride and couldn't imagine supporting any other club.

Incredible isn’t it. The decade before was atrocious, pessimism and sad at times. Amazing how consistent, dominance Liverpool have been. Probably frustrating at the same time how strong Man city have been to match.
Grateful to be apart of this period, probably most dominance in 30/40 years

Funny, opposition posters and fans scoff when we educate them and advise were 8 points behind at Match 22. That's a fair turnaround, especially with all the games we've had to play.

Stuart Atwell was on VAR. No wonder the Soton goal wasn't overturned. There needs to be an investigation into him since it always seems to be him.

Also, no surprises that dumb campaigner Dermott Gallagher sided with the refs.

It was a 3rd round League Cup XI. Still got the job done. To the final day.

BTW, City owe Villa $15m if they win the league per a clause in Grealish' contract.

Important rest for a number of players. Hendo with the most appearances this season - warrior.

Conspiracy!

But seriously just a shame that Villa will be playing on a Thursday night against a team desperate to avoid relegation before fronting up 3 days later to the league leaders.

Also worth noting that Villa can finish as high as 9th or as low as 14th. 10m extra prizemoney between finishing 9th & 14th.

What I don't understand about the incident is why Attwell didn't just say to the Atkinson (who clearly motioned that the ball was played) to go and have a look at the incident himself. Logic says Attwell says over the mic "hey mate, you indicated that the ball was played in the start of the attacking phase that lead to Soton scoring. It looks like that's not the case, you better come look at the replay for yoursef".

I just don't see how Attwell has decided that the incident was not worthy of a pitchside review considering the clear nature of it.

VAR gave City 2 points at Everton with a scandalous call. Also when they played Southampton at home a penalty was reversed completely that was nowhere near clear & obvious. They ended up drawing that match 1-1 so VAR was key in winning them a point in that match.

So, you’re saying that City will try and throw it. Meanwhile, Villa will be at the beach as they want the $15m.

We will draw 5-5 to Wolves after being 5-0 down at 1/2 time and City will lose 6-0 to Villa with Coutinho scoring 6 free kicks.

End result a playoff for the league title.

Could Tsimi become our new Robbo in 4-5 yesrs time?

Hes young enough. Would be awesome if he could be our future #1 LB and spend another 4 years learning from Robbo.

He's 26. Might be our number 1 left back for a yr or 2. See how we go. He's not a flashy left back.. his positioning and crossing is great. Defends well. I'd like to see him him cut in a lil more and create more opportunities for himself and others.. he's not really doing that all that much.. but no biggie.. he's enjoying himself.. playing that wide position.. whipping them crosses in.

Yeah I don't think that post is as inspiring as they were hoping, especially considering our destiny isn't even in our own hands.
It would almost never be in your own hands for the second ranked team
