A few more loans ended.

Ben Davies' Sheffield United lost in the Championship playoff semis. A third of his season he went missing, a third he was playing at CB and another third he was on the bench.
Adam Lewis for Scottish side Livingston missed 4 months with a foot injury. Only had a handful of appearances at LB and CM, and was on the bench as well.
Luis Longstaff's Queen's Park got promoted to the Scottish 2nd division. He was mostly an attacking sub that had 4 goals and 2 assists.
Jakub Ojrzynski was in goal for Caernarfon Town in the Welsh League. Conceding 47 goals from 31 games, and 9 clean sheets.

It really depends on what game Villa want to play. Can’t really sit back and defend. Man City love a full press. If Villa snag a goal or two, who knows. But god, wish West Ham hung on for the win. The +6 goal difference killed it.

Liverpool were +7 ahead but just stagnated with 1 or 2 goal wins while Man City do their usual 5-0 romps.

4-0 vs Leeds, 3-0 v Brighton, 5-1 vs Wolves, 5-0 vs Newcastle. Ridiculous really. 17-1 in those games alone.
Probably the only downside about it all. Liverpool would dominate all match but hardly get greater then 2-0 score lines. Definitely makes it way too hard on the team.

The early weeks were frustrating.
1-1 at home vs Chelsea in Machday 2. 3-3 against Brentford in Matchday 6, which shouldn’t have happened, that game is still frustrating even today.
2-2 vs Man City at home in Matchday 7. 2-2 vs Brighton in Matchday 10. Then lose to West Ham 2-1 a week after.
Pretty incredible that Liverpool managed to take this to the last day, considering the early results.
Needed a win against Chelsea, Spurs or Man City, where Liverpool drew in both home and away against all of them. 6 draws

Retire please Martin…

i find drurys thing is that he says the word "and" before the players name upon a shot at the goal.

also, both these lads, with all the "ethnic" names in football i dont feel get any of them wrong. imagine afl commentators doing the same.

Klopp saying to Stevie "If you beat or draw with that City scum there’ll be a million pounds for you and £500,000 to every player that takes the field for you. Plus, a million pounds for each goalscorer."

Not a good idea.

You've got Watkins and Ingsy up front.. here you go lads.. here's a yacht for the goalscorer.. then what? Say they decided to share the prize.. what happens then? Oh.. I want to sail the Aegean Sea this summer.. no.. but I want to sail the Aegean Sea this summer.. be a pretty sinking feeling for the other lads who didn't get on the scorers sheet either.

You might find Coutinho wanting to launch the pill from the half way line.

Throws the whole team dynamics out of whack.. will create tension in the dressing room.. supporters will be feeling disenchanted and that.

So many different case scenarios you can use to debunk the theory that incentive based rewards are a good thing. Awful.

You're a soccer player.. they offer you incentives to score.. look for another club.

The 1-0 loss to Leicester was the killer. Should have won easily.

They’re getting £500,000 each for the draw and/or win.
You’re right though. Make that an extra £500,000 for an assist or save.

Pay players what they're worth.. that's it. Wouldn't expect Origi to be getting paid the same amount as Salah.. merit.. talent.. that's it. That's what you base it on.

The opportunity is there.. perform hard at training.. Origi improves his skills.. starts a few more.. scores 20 for the season.. we assess it at the end of the season.. if he was worth say €10m at the start of the season.. he might be worth say €20m at the end of it. Still contracted.. someone steps in offers the club €25m.. and bla bla bla and la di da.. and that's basically it.

If we start offering incentives for this and that and everything else.. we go from a championship winning team.. to 5th.. to 12th.. to relegation.

Whatever you’re taking I don’t want any. I’m talking about paying Aston Villa players and Stevie incentive money for drawing with or beating City.

Don't think it would've mattered if West Ham had beaten City, as a City win against Villa would've given them the league on GD anyway. We would've still needed City to draw or lose the final game regardless if West Ham won or drew.
