Not sure how much truth there is to this but I for one do not see why we aren't going after Neves considering his age, profile and having only one year left on his contract.

Neves now and Bellingham next year would be perfect. Milner / Ox out and Neves / Bellingham in.

Of course we will need a Thiago replacement the year after.

Mostly picks itself. The only question is Nunez or Firmino and at home with an opponent playing a low block Nunez getting in there with a physical presence is always going to be picked.


I will say this - if we lose another midfielder to a long term injury we are in real trouble if the club refuses to buy another mid this window.
