Imagine the Magic who are a dumpster fire knocking over Detroit.

Thing is, if you look at their respective rosters, there's really not that much of a difference in terms of firepower. Detroit just has better chemistry.

A lot of pundits had the Magic finishing ahead of the Pistons before the season started. Of course Orlando has been flaky as, but to the naked eye they don't seem to match up that badly.

It's certainly not a Thunder/Suns 1 vs 8 fait accompli.

Listen to the man that knows all about firepower, and no chemistry!

How can someone go from averaging

12.3 ppg, 4.8 app and 6.4 rpg

To

17 ppg, 9.1 app and 8.3 rpg

And not receive a Most Improved Vote.

Josh Giddey went from getting benched at Oklahoma and basically becoming a bench player to becoming an almost All Star.

Points per game jumped 5 points a game, rebounds increased by 2 and assists jumped an extra 4 a game with 13 triple doubles this season.

He had a huge jump during the second half of last season, but totally ignored and then he was just expected to produce that style of player without any awards recognition.

Josh Giddey was the most improved player in the NBA this seasons.

If he'd kept up his first half of the year form.he wouldve had it in the bag
He didn't keep up that form

Based on his final stats line, he had a very good season.

The final 25 games had many different factors involved with this. They were tanking, his injury was limiting his output, they were trying different options with different players and they totally blew their team up after the All Star break.

Jee where did this come from.

Still plenty of time to get Brunson'd.
