Victor Wembanyama officially met the 65-game threshold required for NBA end-of-season award eligibility during the 2025-2026 season.Don't you have to play 65 games to win an award? Wemby only 64.
Hmmm so that doesn't count towards the team's regular season record but does for the player. He played the cup final
Imagine the Magic who are a dumpster fire knocking over Detroit.
Thing is, if you look at their respective rosters, there's really not that much of a difference in terms of firepower. Detroit just has better chemistry.
A lot of pundits had the Magic finishing ahead of the Pistons before the season started. Of course Orlando has been flaky as, but to the naked eye they don't seem to match up that badly.
It's certainly not a Thunder/Suns 1 vs 8 fait accompli.

If he'd kept up his first half of the year form.he wouldve had it in the bagHow can someone go from averaging
12.3 ppg, 4.8 app and 6.4 rpg
To

And not receive a Most Improved Vote.
Josh Giddey went from getting benched at Oklahoma and basically becoming a bench player to becoming an almost All Star.
Points per game jumped 5 points a game, rebounds increased by 2 and assists jumped an extra 4 a game with 13 triple doubles this season.
He had a huge jump during the second half of last season, but totally ignored and then he was just expected to produce that style of player without any awards recognition.
Josh Giddey was the most improved player in the NBA this seasons.
Based on his final stats line, he had a very good season. If he'd kept up his first half of the year form.he wouldve had it in the bag
He didn't keep up that form
