Jalen "Not 1A" Brunson! Bridges and Shamet awesome on both ends. Down 22 with 7.38 left in the game. This team is something else.

It was a smart play by the knicks tho... target Harden and then his ego will overplay and turn it over non stop in clutch time
Blue print is there. We let the Cavs get what they wanted in the 2nd and 3rd.
Limit Spida and put the heat on Harden and Mobley.

Took it away from them in the last and they couldn’t get a look.

Both ends?

Brunson was able to hide in the corner every play and the cavs refused to run any action to put him on ball

It very well could happen but this time last year people were saying Thunder are going to be unbeatable for 5 years plus etc and literally within 12 months there is 1 team that has already caught up to them and may very well go ahead of them.

There's a difference between being unbeatable as opposed to being very difficult to beat in a 7 game series. I think most people have been saying the latter.

So many things can happen in sport, if Wemby goes down for an entire season or a post season would the Spurs still be miles better off than a Denver or Timberwolves for example?

Of course injuries can happen, that applies to any team in the league. We're assuming reasonable health here.

And unless we're talking catastrophic, career-altering injury, neither team is going to have their rosy long-term outlook quashed, it'd be a short-term setback.

Draft picks don't always work out either.

No, but they are a very cost effective way of adding help and replacing lost talent if you have good scouting.

If Giannis landed at the Wolves with Ant Man they would be a massive shot at competing with Spurs/Thunder. Hell even on the East side Giannis or a big name could end up at a Atlanta or even Charlotte and all of a sudden they are right up there.

Sure. But that's not taking into account the opportunity cost it takes to land Giannis, nor does it factor in his age or health.

Teams that sacrifice their depth and future assets to land a star like Giannis are MORE susceptible to the injuries that you brought up. If Minny traded for Giannis, they'd be far more on the clock than the Thunder or Spurs.

Spurs and Thunder like you said might be set up to do this for a long time but can they sustain it. If OKC don't win this year are they really in dynasty talk?

I don't know what to make of these last two sentences, they don't make sense at all.

At what point do guys like Starks and Marbury get booted for constantly going out onto the court during play? They were taking the piss down the stretch.
