On behalf of John and myself, it's been a big week in football, and we're very angry. I've shed a tear or two for all you fans who will miss out this week.

As we've said quite alot this week the AFL were really dumb for fixturing the biggest game of the year, no not Essendon and Carlton round 20, the last suburban battle, you fools, the two greatest clubs in the world, the universe even, at Optus Oval. John in particular was very upset, that's why Carlton advertised the fact that "you better book your seat in the Legends Stand this year, otherwise you won't get in when we play Collingwood".

You would have noticed how outraged I was about the fact that it wasn't shiffted to the MCG by my promoting at every given opportunity "the last suburban battle". The steam was really coming out of my coller (yeah I do have one under my chins) when I realised Jack and I would not get our clubs beamed live into Melbourne. John "the man of the people (well Carlton supporters with a swiss bank account)" Elliott was disgusted that 7 would put on any other club than his and mine on the box. Too bad if those Hawks and Doggies supporters don't see their teams, they should be following a successful team like Collingwood.

As you heard from my probing questioning of John last night on the Collingwood, sorry, footy show he had no alternative but to keep the game at Optus because he had a big Marquee all organised. You understand Pie fans, that's the only way he can get an erection up these days.

Don't forget Pie fans you can still see the game live at Crown Casino, yes that's the one my mate Jamie has shares in. Their very helpful with sneeky bits of video tape for our show, you know the one we played over and over and over again.

Well all the best from the two greatest Presidents ever, in the history of the game.

"Oh the premierships a cake walk for the good old Collingwood."

Funnily enough I have a lot of respect for Collingwood supporters. Unlike Carlscumm they haven't benefited from the the Chequebook Premiership cash grab (not through lack of trying in the 70's & 80's) and yet are still there in large numbers.

Remember folks, 1 flag in the last 42 years is no better than the Sainters (no offense Sainter) and that fact that they keep coming up every year with the passionate support is, IMHO, very impressive.

There but for the grace of Sheeds go us.

I Dont know about respect for collingwood Supporters, but have to admire them cause if eddie was our president someone would have assinated him by now. Voted him out which is what the members at "THE CLUB" should do if they want it to stay a working class club otherwise pie fans start buying up big cause you'll need plenty of chardonay for your corporate box at The G

Why would we vote Eddie out at Collingwood?

Everyone keeps saying about how he's bad for Collingwood yet no one can point out to me why.

Since he has arrived, his board, have got the financial side back into a responsible position. Membership and sponsorship have both improved. All of this while the team has been at it's poorest on-field level in it's history.

He has gone out and tried to woo more corporate input but that's just being responsible for the future of the club.

The price of going to watch Collingwood isn't any higher than any other club. We play the majority of our home games in a stadium that has no problem in accomodating them.

He has got us a new coach who has a history of success.

When he took over he said it was a big job. Collingwood of 2000 is in a far better position than it was in 1998.

I thought the object of the game WAS the game?

Maguire early on I thought was doing a good job, now Im having doubts, I think he is getting to concerned with his dual roles of pres/footyshow-channel kerry.

Either be one or the other at the minute he isnt doing either very well.

SORRY:
i just wanted to apologize for being so detrimental to the game.

I also want to apologize to all football fans for being a self-indulgent d*ckhead.

Also want to apologize for thinking that I and my artificially successful club are more important than the AFl as a whole. We are such arrogant f*cks that our vision often gets clouded by our bloated chequebooks.

Can I also say a big sorry to collingwood fans for roping in your president and using him as my media bunny. Just dont tell him about it ok ??? he seems blissfully unaware of it, and i dont want to lose my soapbox (er sorry footy show) appearances. they are very valuable to spread my propaganda.

you see the thing is (we were going to keep this a secret but im so f*cking drunk i cant help myself- hahahahaha-snort)- that i couldnt give a flying f*ck about the AFL or what happens to it, just so long as Im raking in cash. In fact me and eddie are going to start up our own league called the super duper AFL league which will be run by the Packer family and shown on channel 9 exclusively and.........ssdaoy40743-0&^_(*^*&5987&(^&^$$#$#*&%UHVKJHUY%E*&%(*%YT&$^*DI

(john has asked that I finish this off for him as he has suddenly....er......gotten sick.....or something..........)
all the best

What I meant by that Grendel was that even though we are poor on-field he has still managed to keep membership and sponsorship at good levels. Enough to keep the club viable.

We don't deserve 29,000 members. We've done nothing for 8 years.

Going on what we've done in the 90's, if it wasn't for our supporter base, we'd just about be finished.

On from that, everyone criticises Eddie and says he's doing a poor job, yet no one can give me any examples.

Come on be serious, if Eddie wasn't the media personality he is we wouldn't give a toss about his presidency. Most presidents do have a day job, Eddies just happens to be more visible to us.

And he does fit the Collingwood stero type of either love em or hate em.

I don't have any problem with his Collingwood role but do dislike his unabashed use of his media position to force it down the rest of us. Sad part is he genuinely doesn't seem to realise he does it.
