I have watched the Block in the past, but tonight was the first time I'd seen it this season. I'm a bit confused about why the twins didn't win - they produced a room that people would want to buy. Who on earth would buy a house with 5 clocks as 'art', dodgy curtains and bookcases that you can't see the bottom third of? I know that creativity is a part of it, but at the end of the day, the houses have to sell. Keeping people with good taste (and who don't sing terribly, what the hell was that?) would be a good start. I know that this challenge was completely separate to the houses, but seriously.

Probably won't be watching this too often, might just listen to the Fox instead - same result, except there will be fewer bogan Aussies singing along.

LOL- i switched this on with 15 mins to go (was waiting for Hot Property to start).... that room was a peice of shit, I PMSL. The "exit" sign. Lol, gotta get myself one of them!!!!! And the couch in front of the bookcase was stupid.


And i know this is extremely sexist thing to say- but bad idea not to put thru the boobs Channel 9.

Yep, I agree, only caught the last 5 minutes or so (thankfully from what I have read) but how the twins (all 4 of them) didn't win through was beyond me.

In a situation where you had 2 hot twins or 2 rather average women to put through for the rest of the series, it really didn't make sense from a marketing and ratings point of view.

I won't be watching much of this series, but I might give it a little go now it is going back to "normal" instead of the shit first week we have had to put up with.

I don't really IQ stuff on Nine (going through my guide, i've got one Nine show scheduled in the next week) but after reading your post i went through and had a look and managed to series link any Nine show i wanted, including this one.

The twins were the definition of why people watch reality tv shows, i was pissing myself at some of the things they did and said. The judges are morons too. There is hardly a bad word to say about any of the rooms!!! (At least from what I have seen).

Absolute terrible show.

I had to watch it last night with the fiance and never watching it again.

If they were going to make it fair why would they tell the judges which room is which? Like seriously, it's just one big set up.

Shannon and Aaron were the only eliminated couple that had any real chance.

Just happened to be they were up against some serious creative flair.

Like I said before yesterdays episode they were trying to win over the older ladies by showing the young girls getting beaten.

If you don't want to watch, don't.

I'm a bit of a reality tv junkie right now and I'm going to enjoy it.

None of the remaining couples have any idea about design or style. I heard a couple say they have been reading up on trends….lol It shows in the rooms they have created. At least Josh and his missus managed to get an old parker sideboard and Rod and Tanya showed initiative ripping of the picture rail and mantle. That early thinking has me thinking they will be the 2 couples to watch.

Well the real show has finally started.

Polly/Waz immediately set up as a fan favourite underdog

How many builders were called in? Surely they run out of money if they don't do some things themselves?

I do feel the advertising was a little bit overdone. I've never seen so many logos outside of a commercial break.

Over this show already. Have turned it from a renovation competition to a game show. The twist announced at the end of the show was the last straw. Shows how little faith the producers have in the basic product when they introduce so many peripheral elements.

But it's hard to know when the ads stop and the show starts.

And that thing they did on Sunday(?) where they had to get the keys to open a series of 4 doors was just stupid.

Well Scott Cam showed tonight he is just a basic tradie/TV host and nothing more and definitely no guru. Had no idea when he tried to demo how to use a hand saw. Basic, but an indication of his overrated crapness.

Saw about 10 mins of tonights ep, have missed all week but saw a few ads. Its not even the same show anymore, terrible effort in trying to improve a show that didnt really need it. Pick good contestants and there is no need for challenges and the rest of this junk. This is garbage.
