As bad as this show is people are watching it in there droves it's a huge ratings winner for CH9.And over 30,000 people went to the open house's last weekend.some of them them waited over 3 hours to meet the people on the show and kids as young as 9 yo said it was there fav tv show (wtf).l have stopped watching it's poo only watch the rooms on sunday and the odd bit thou the week as the missues watches it.still dislike the migger sisters do no work always shopping thinking there it and a bit they can f off.l am banning my self from this thread.

Um the first one was reserved at 950k the others was in the mid 800's from memory. It just shows how much the upper end real estate market is tanking. Nervous times for channel ten and the renovators.

Watercress are the production company and they paid $3.6M for the four houses on a total land area of 780sqm. Given they were basically derelict, this reflects a land value of around $4,600psm. This rate psm is idiotic for Richmond and it should be under $3,000 in that location.
They'll sell them eventually, but they will make a big loss on anything over than the product placement and advertising. At the end of it, the bigger sums of money probably make the performance of the properties themselves irrelevant.

I thought they only make the money thats higher then the reserve if it is sold at the auction. Not afterwards due to the competition being over the 100grand already gone to the winner who made the most.
I could be wrong though.

Nah, last season a house didn't sell ay auction, but sold after and the contestants received the profit.
Funny, cause the winners of the last series got $200k over reserve.

Alot of people could be waiting till after the auction in this current housing climate. Find out what the reserve actually is and negotiate around it.

What a fail lolz. Went to see the houses today let's just say they weren't worth what they were asking for. And no wonder they didn't sell for much. The sisters painting was awful there were 3 tones of gray on the side of the house and Josh and Jennas house looked alright but they looked like they had only used one layer of paint. Lol'd at that *** in the pink suit what a flog.

What a giant waste of money. To sell it less than the price of how much they bought it for in it's original condition is just an astronomical waste of money. I mean the house has been improved so much and not to mention the cost of labour and everything else. What a massive let-down.
