Well done ep tonight.

It’s taken me over an hour to realise that there’s been zero point to it.

I was watching it in the background waiting for reveals.

What a shit episode.

I don’t like they they deliberately play for ratings… I know that won’t change but I can still hate it

He’s not going to give you free work why stay if you’re not getting paid for it?
Looks like S&A's builders weren't even doing the work they were getting paid for. Their builders came off looking pretty bad in this episode. You don't need to go above and beyond but the minimum should be to be professional and do the job you are paid for at an acceptable level. No wonder A&S were over budget their builders seemed to be on a permanent go-slow.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they haven’t been paid fully imo

I know ppl have been quoting the builder's Insta posts to attempt to give another side of the story, but they can't blame bad editing or S&A exaggerating completely. The truth is they have been subpar on this build, probably not as bad as made out but not very good either. This season has damaged their reputation for sure, IMO. I would never hire them.

Agree that they have to take some responsibility, the footings for the "pergola" is a perfect example. On face value it seemed like they got caught out trying to cut corners and had to go back and fix it anyway (though this may have been part of the landscaping works... either way one of their trades wasn't doing work that was up to scratch.

The "pergola" was an absolute joke as it wasn't really saving time or money doing it the wrong way and they were banking on A & S not knowing it was wrong but got caught out by the foreman.

I think in a more standard block season a lot of the things would have been caught by the block foremen before getting out of hand but the size and weather meant they couldn't keep as on top of things as usual. They've proably gotten use to the builders being experienced in the block system as well.

How did they get away with those missing decking boards from a safety perspective? Stevie Wonder could see that was an accident waiting to happen. Should have had some ply or mdf boards over the gaps while they were walking around in the dark.

Or they should have completed the decking to the doorways, so no accidents happened.

Settle down sharon
Come on mate no way they were any where near budget for that.

Ankur and Sharon's builders and Landscapers really f'd them over, not withstanding their own poor decisions.

Quick Poll: Who here would hire Ankur & Sharons builder or landscaper after watching the block?

Ankurs not the only one who's professional reputation took a hit in the shit show that was House 3.

I’m 100% sure if the builders were as bad as what Sharon and ankhs were making them out to be at the very least channel 9 would had stepped in to fire them

He continued: "If I really stole why would they have not fired me? Do you really think the block wants to have people stealing from their sites? Why would the higher ups not have kicked me offsite?

"It's all been beat up as it seems they wanted to get rid of us for weeks, but continued to string us 'lazy a--holes' along to finish the house so they can get their entitled prize money."

He also claimed that he only knocked off early twice in the entire 12-week filming period and that most of the builders worked "minimum 11 hour days with 2 hours of driving on top".

Liam then said that in choosing the biggest house on this year’s The Block, Sharon and Ankur started on the wrong foot, particularly by spreading their budget incredibly thin.

Using “their words”, he said the couple expressed, “It’s not really a house for a lazy couple that have never done a physical day’s work in [their] life”.

“They would have to work so much harder than the others just to try and level the financial playing field,” Liam confessed. “This did not happen.”

added that at times, Ankur “did help with the clean up” however, as shown on TV, “rubbish was left in the car for days”.

I had an apprentice 3 [sic] days a week cleaning — this is all money that could have been saved.”

Liam admitted that Sharon was “almost unapproachable to raise issues with” and that “many things got left unsaid” as the team knew she would act disproportionately.

And the big one here :

Under the table, deals were made only to be reneged on and the items given back, but we lost our arrangement,” Liam said.
