I have never thought the bickering between Steph & Gian was abnormal. They seem like a normal married couple to me. All couples bicker. I disliked how the show tried to build that whole thing as a character assassination of Steph to the point of her crying. That's reality TV at its worst right there.

2) you're supposed to feel a certain way about these people
3) Australia is pretty small, and contestants/their friends can read this stuff.

I think people are being really harsh on what is clearly an edit. Kristy is friends with Steph and seems perfectly friendly; Leah seems like a bit of a loudmouth, but I don't believe she deserves judgments on her character based on that.

If you're appearing on a reality TV show and don't want to appear like a total douche in the edit, don't say mean-spirited shit about people, and don't do nasty crap to others. Don't act like a flog, it's pretty simple. You can only make a "bad edit" if the performers are behaving poorly to begin with. You can't make a "bad edit" if everyone is being nice.

Anyway there has been past seasons where every couple got along really well and you could tell they were scraping the bottom of the barrel to get drama. But they just couldn't
