The budgets were interesting. H1 has done ok considering only the 1 room win.
From what I heard I had the following:

H2 - 100k
H3 - 55k
H4 - Lots of money!!!!

FWIW- hearing reports her builders/tradies dont really want to work for her, she's made several ppl cry, she truly believes one other team is getting special treatment and she has alot of real nasty bitchy comments to make, to camera and behind ppls backs.
Thats the general gist of her.
And her husband just nods and agrees with all this.

Due to certain circumstances, I've only really watched the reveal episodes in the past 3 weeks or so, having watched maybe a week day episode here and there. I've watched this weeks, though.
You honestly don't even have to watch the week day episodes to follow it - this would probably be one area that they could rejig if they want to restore ratings in to next year (of course, on top of reducing the drama.) But following MAFS, Parental Guidance etc, it appears pretty obvious that Channel 9 have an artificial drama addiction they need to shake.
The challenges they do too, are quite boring and not worth watching, aside from some of the feels when its for a charity. I mean, SUPing? I suppose perhaps thats to sell the area they're in. Break dancing? vom.
On the show itself, it still baffles me that after so very many years, contestants brought in to this show don't come on with a serious plan or with any coaching as to how to approach it, how to plan, how to view the floorplans and look to maximise, how to watch previous seasons for the countless comments regarding to kitchen flows, eye level bathroom storage, etc etc etc and of course, budget management. Perhaps they want people to fail/struggle, but if I were to be accepted on to this show, I'd be spending countless hours in the lead up building an arsenal of plans for potential execution.
