Building has started at the five one-acre blocks on Raglan Street in Daylesford. This article gives a pretty good overview if you're interested. This will be the last Victorian-based season for a while; IIRC, they're planning to do 2026 in Brisbane. This year will also be Scott Cams' last season as host. It makes me wonder if Shelley, Shaynna, and Darren might be moved on when the show goes to Qld, and they do a kind of reboot of the show to see if they can extend the life of this money train for another ten years.

Portelli pulled off a clean sweep at The Block auction last November buying the five properties for a staggering total amount of $15.03m.

That included $3.5 million for the house renovated by sisters Maddy and Charlotte Harry.

Filming finished in early June and the show is expected to air in August on Channel 9.
The Phillip Island season of The Block saw contestants makeover the five homes within a former holiday resort on the Victorian tourist hotspot.

The properties were each offered separately for sale by The Block.
Portelli however is not willing to sell the homes separately.

In December, Portelli put the Phillip Island five home compound up as a prize in one of his mega prize giveaways.

Back in December, Portelli put the entire Phillip Island complex up as a prize in a mega-giveaway.

In Australia’s most lucrative giveaway outside of lotteries, the richlister offered up a choice of either all five Phillip Island homes from last season’s The Block, or a substantial cash prize of $8 million.

Ballarat resident and healthcare worker Holly won the sweepstakes and ended up pocketing the money, he revealed.

Portelli said the cash prize had already cleared into her account and they were sending her a cheque as well.

If the prize were just one house, I'd consider taking it if I thought it was well built and in a good location. But I'd never take five houses, because that just seems like a lot of hassle to me. Plus, the rates and insurance alone would be excessive, let alone the upkeep, getting people to rent or sell them, etc.
