The Blues R allowed to get away with murder on the field, and the maggots turn a blind eye, week in week out.

First half, agnst bris, I was astonished at the amount of holding, scragging, high tackles etc that seemed to go unnoticed. And found it hysterical that Scrag-vani actually had the gall to jump up and down like a tantrum throwing 4 yr old when he got penalised for holding Lynch around the face and neck.
Manton got away with usual arm holding tactic, and brisbane had their momentum killed by mystifying calls on a number of occasions. It reminded me of the game in brisbane earlier on this year, when a simliar thing happened- the Blues get ump assisted momentum, and go on to win big.
& Why was that brisbane player disallowed that mark in the goal square in the 2nd qtr, when the lions just looked to be kicking 2 in a row, and getting a run on ?????

Im not saying it cost bris the game (or that they didnt totally suck in the 2nd half), it just killed their momentum on a couple of crucial occasions.

I really hope we dont see similiar crap this saturday.

Brisbane get creamed by plenty and its the umps fault..dont make me laugh..I watched the game as an unbiased observer and Brisbane were hopeless.Brisbane are one of the weakest sooky teams going around always crying to the umps and still whinging about Mick Martyn and Black.They lost because they were not hard enough at the football..Arch it sounds like you could be an essendon supporter starting to look for excuses..maybe a touch of the Kouta wobbles..here's hoping carlton and essendon belt the crap out of each other.

for Essendon pity no one will remember it, I got one too...prelim final last year ..Dean Wallis panics in the middle of the MCG gets tackled by Brown and the odds on favourites lose by 1 point .Its now part of history and it actually gave Wallis his two minutes of fame or should that be infamy...never mind wally will still get to be a star..on a footy bloopers show..wonder how many times wally has replayed that bit of priceless football in his tiny brain.
I'd be nervous too, Kouta may play and then you have Fraser Brown dusting off his fists
so they can be reunited with Misiti's jaw..could be Browns last game...could get a bit nasty..in fact carlton may decide they cant win the game and just decide to screw essendon up for the GF by laying into a few of their players..nah carlton wouldnt do that
would they? They wouldnt be that bitter and twisted...would they? Dont worry about the Dees..Carey and friends will be sending Neil Daniher back to the farm with rest of the family.

Im not denying Brisbane were pathetic, and im not saying the umps cost them the game here.
I said it cost them "momentum", and gave it to Carlton. Two seperate things there.

Im sure carlton at the first sign of going down will start a brawl. Its their nature.

But no amount of shite umpiring will cost us the game on sat'day- if we lose its because we f*cked up big time- plain and simple.

No excuses will be required.

Well I rememebr it. You will to. For the rest of your life. It's part of history too. North now go down in history as the only club to have 30 goals kicked on them in a final.

Mark my words....you will remember it for the rest of your life. Even when you are 80, you will remember it.

I thought you were such a proud club ?

I'd rather lose by a point than lose by 100. I want my team to shoe pride, and character. If you go down narrowly, you can still be proud of your efforts.

You can't be proud of their efforts if they go down by 125.

I'd be embarassed if Essendon held any records like that. Fancy conceding 30 goals in a final.

How embarassing. I'd be ashamed. At least in last years prelim, we gave it a good shot, and put in a good effort. Unlike the insipid Kangaroos.
