As I said in the post, anything can happen. I don't believe in declarative statements about a small amount of data. I personally think that's foolish, but others are free to do so of course. Some will look like geniuses, and others won't.

its a statement based on how our form was at the back end of last year, plus our preseason and round 1-2 form is... its not a statement about how i see our future moving fwd?

You understand what regressed means, yes? It means go backwards, I'm sure you know that. If we lost games at the back end of last year and faltered in the first two rounds but went undefeated for the rest of the season, an impossible reality but still a possibility, would you feel comfortable in saying we'd regressed? That's clearly mostly progression. Being that you don't know the results of the rest of the season, to say we have gone backwards is a prediction. That's absurdly obvious.

I predict that Saint Luke will lead the board for cupping his own farts all season, reminding others when they have erred in predictions made in the heat of a poor loss… whilst not really adding any remotely meaningful discussion himself.

Makes the win so much more special and paints you as a really fun dude & a much more loyal fan than most.

regressed is past tense. we have is present. neither is future.
