Good evening folks.

Now I'm ready to go shopping to look for an iPod, but can't tonight because stores shut early, and haven't had the need to buy and MP3 player earlier. But realizing that you sorta need one when I went to camp to Sydney last week by bus and it took us ages and it would've been nice to be occupied for a fair portion of that time, even though I was playing my PSP for a while it was still nothing flash. Anyone recommend some nice cheap deals for MP3 players? Preferrably under about $50, don't want to store a big bloody collection of songs on there but the majority of my favourites. Would prefer something around 1gb.

As for your MP3 player, it depends on how often you listen to it.

If you'll use it a lot - including videos - then go for an 80GB iPod for about $350. I use mine everyday, whether it's music or videos, and it's well worth the expense.

If you won't use it as much, or don't have much music, then I'd suggest either an iPod touch or a Nano. The touch is obviously more expensive, but it has more features.

Either way, I'd suggest an iPod. Better quality, and good support. Plus iTunes>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Any other media player.

In that case, probably a Nano would be the way to go.

I'd definitely advise getting an iPod.

The AAA battery thing is a bit of a worry. It could use them like an absolute bitch.

Another option is to get an older one cheap.

As for non-iPods, I'm not too certain. I'd be making sure that it has rechargeable batteries.

The Sony for $129 on that page looks pretty good.

I think I might go a Nano. That green one looks awesome. My sister's got a silver one but I can't stand her music. Actually, some songs aren't too bad. Will be able to use her charger and will get it considerably cheaper than she did. Also, I might just get it within the next week after Christmas. A few clearance sales, usually can't wait for Christmas but I'm sort of waiting for it so I can get a few things cheaper unlike other years.
