I actually envy religious people to an extent. I don't attack people who are religious, I believe there are certain aspects of it that I don't agree with. People who kill in the names of their Gods. Or people who misinterpret stuff from the Bible to suit their cause. I don't agree with that part.

But to be able to have faith, and believe, really truly believe in a higher power, watching over them, protecting them if you will, is something I envy.

Just because I quote Nietzsche doesn't mean I agree with what he says.

I choose not to believe in religion because I can't wrap my head around the notion of God. I want to, but I can't. There's too much evidence (in my mind) that suggests the possibility is too ridiculous.

I wish there was a reason, some purpose, as to why we are here. But there isn't. We have just arrived at this point due to millions upon millions of years of evolution.

In my opinion of course.

Books are useless! I only ever read one book, "To Kill A Mockingbird" and it gave me absolutely no insight on how to kill mockingbirds! Sure it taught me not to judge a man by the colour of his skin... but what good does *that* do me?

I love people who take ambiguous quotes from obscure books of the Bible and treat them as a divine order to berate ****/other "evil" people.
