Just saw the heavy roller going over the middle of Adelaide Oval.

Getting it ready for the Port Boys.

They batting first?
We could see 100 in the first session.

Well they are literally 50/50 over the last 24 years..........
But what hes saying is that generally it goes with the team thats higher on the ladder at the time. Few upsets im guessing (i dont know the stats)

Im normally a very positive kinda guy.... But this could get ugly

If we bring the R1 level of intensity for 4 quarters we should be able to stick with them for a while, but I fear we won't.

All 4 inclusions make us a better side however, but we didn't go quite far enough and the structure is all wrong.

Their transition from defence will be a thing of beauty. The red carpet system will be back in all its glory.

Geebus Doc, did you get out of here alive?

Personally, I think he is a slow maturer. I'd rather him deep forward, but reckon Nicks will try and have him run with Wines tonight.

Now, do I dare visit the Port board???
Carn Bernie you know i think youre a good sort!

I guess we will see, Rowie was talking up the Fog/Wines head 2 head i get on surface he looks like an ok match up on size and strength but Wines is a seasoned mid who is clocking in career bests at the moment while Fog cant crack a dozen touches a match or really defensively cover from spread at stoppage

Based on the crickets to my post its probably cos im a port flog posting in here but at the same time looks like you guys think the jury is out as well

Fog on wines will be a disaster and I'm a fog fan.

It's a fair question, one which we've been debating on this board for the last 2-3 weeks (maybe too much so, to the annoyance of many).

Many Crows supporters are seduced by his right leg, and to be fair, it's a truly elite weapon. His ability to kick accurately, over long distances and wide angles, is truly phenomenal. His goal kicking accuracy is better even than that of the great Tony Lockett.

Unfortunately, that's the only aspect of his game which is AFL standard. He's slow, and lacks agility, and doesn't get involved enough. He's be a massive weapon as a forward if he could average 12-15 disposals per game, but he averages less than 9 (and his average is inflated by 2 recent games where he was trialled unsuccessfully in the midfield).

He's a high impact, low disposal, type of player. The question is whether or not he's capable of impacting games often enough, given that he almost always has a low disposal count. In the words of Jason Dunstall: "probably not".
Thanks Vader this is in line with what I've seen, one of those 'if only he could' type of players

Friends of the AFC some know me as a troll but this time genuinely i have a question all i want is an answer

Help me understand why you guys rate Fog ? I mean we all like blokes who don't mind a bit of biff but that's not enough to base a career on and I just don't see what he offers you at all

If he was pick 112 not 12 is he even on a list still ?

Any other time you can tell me to GAGF but this time I just want to know

Nah, we can still tell you to GAGF, troll.

Glad he can see it

Now to fix it.
A lot of our coaches have reached this point where turnovers start to hurt us.

Often they 'fix it' by getting us to choose safer, shorter, wider options and move the ball with more care (ie slowly). Obviously this sort of courage-free bedwetting leads to disaster but it is gold for slowly chip across the field merchants like Kelly.

We need Nicks to accept that turnovers will happen, especially with a young team. Continue to choose aggressive options, continue to try to move the ball quickly, use the corridor where possible, continue (start?) to pick players who have above average foot skills. Because that is a game plan that can lead somewhere.

A safe, cautious approach will lead nowhere.

Uh oh. He's going to go back to the slow chip kick in the back 50 game style he tried to implement at the start of 2020.

It will work just as well as it did then...

Exactly, you need to improve execution not change the aggression.

You also need your players to run defensively when it doesn't work.

Orazio to kick 5
Motlop to get 24 and 3
Aliir Aliir to win the medal
Hartlett to play his one good game for the year
Brown to still hobble around injured
Us to cop more injuries

Port by 80 points.
