This is the new Bucks megathread. The last one has become too large and needed shutting down. Admin has recommendations in place for large threads. Welcome to the next instalment.

Apologies for any inconvenience. We will try to find a replacement.
The Buckley discussion is likely to become very emotional over the next few weeks. We now have an opportunity to keep that discussion on topic without the need for name calling and division amongst posters. It has been on topic, whats your point

I understand your theory but in my opinion it’s a cop out. This topic will become the most important discussion on this board since Buckley took over. There is no reason why it can’t be moderated to a high standard.I genuinely admire your optimism that this thread might be kept civil, it is a truly impressive idealism.
My own optimism in relation to Buckley discussion is that this thread be the sole repository of angst, bile and bitterness, in the hope that other threads might be quarantined from the toxicity of anti-Bucks sentiment. It makes for some poor reading in this thread, but I think it makes better reading for the board more generally.

If we don't knock off the Blues this Friday then the mods may have to shut down the Collingwood board until further notice...
You might be correct, although I think he would be more likely to go into the media.I believe Buckley will be one of the best assistant coaches in the AFL should he resign or be sacked.

We're not sacking a coach mid season ffs. Get over it.Two ways to guarantee that Jmac, we have solid success on field for the season remainder. What I mean by that is there is optimism for a bright future that is within reach, not the seemingly dark limbo in mid to lower ladder showing glimpses that only tease
Or
There is change at the helm - not at the end of the season, not the bye. Has to be now, there has to be change now - win very well on the weekend or Bucks is gone or atleast a public announcement that he will be.
There is no room to move on this. The tribe is at the very end of its tether and there are some less than polite elements in this tribe that are reactionary and an innocent poster might walk into said reaction.
The only two ways to guarantee your wish
People have different ideal scenarios, get over it.We're not sacking a coach mid season ffs. Get over it.
It’s difficult to say with any certainty. Given the quality players coming back we could well get to the bye at 6-6. Should that happen Bucks will see out the season. We're not sacking a coach mid season ffs. Get over it.
Exactly, the club isn't going to after a torrid season of will they wont they re-sign him, sack him 2 rounds into a new contract. Anyone with a bit of brains knows that if that happened, it'd reflect on how poorly the club is being handled and how much money it'd cost. Plus the players would probably lose it.Before my ban from this thread is activated I would like to post this
Bucks will be Pies coach in 2018......all whining in the world will not change that fact.
Media pressure? Bucks has been under that since 2012 mate.. Eddies not going to sack him, nor will he let it happen. It’s difficult to say with any certainty. Given the quality players coming back we could well get to the bye at 6-6. Should that happen Bucks will see out the season.
If we lose to Carlton though we could well be looking at a 0-6 start. In this scenario the media pressure would be impossible to withstand, and it’s very possible Bucks could be removed.
So much is riding on tomorrow night.
True, but I think it would hit an unprecedented level. Once it affects the players a coach is history.Media pressure? Bucks has been under that since 2012 mate.. Eddies not going to sack him, nor will he let it happen.

Of course but theres nothing to suggest that the players will be worried about the media. Yeah they will know that their not performing. The players were under a bit of that last year and end up coming out of it pretty well with a few good performances.True, but I think it would hit an unprecedented level.
