There's videos on youtube about fit runners, running at the pace Kipchoge does and blowing up after a few hundred metres. That prick does it for 42000 in one hit. Extraordinary.

Can honestly say I was a distance runner some time ago.

Ran a 5k faster than Kipchoge did in the marathon last Sunday but it is remarkable that he kept that pace up for another 7 x 5kms.

Braklet ‘s weekly mileage is about the ballpark for serious distance runners but if you’re training to play footy it’s a whole different set of parameters.

That's what amazes me about footy... those midfielders run a 16K, plus all the draining skills. Tackling, marking, shepherding... WOW.
