Four Collingwood players were injured today when a brick wall fell on them in a freak accident. Captain Nick Maxwell, who was reportedly high on his own self importance, ran full tilt at the dressing room wall screaming, "I'M PUMPED!!!" and, doing his best Blue Steel, crashed through.
Scott Pendelbury, Anthony Rocca, Josh Fraser and Dayne Beams, who were showering together on the other side of the wall at the time, were struck by flying debris, each suffering groin and other injuries that have ruled them out of tonight's finals clash with Adelaide.
"We were just getting pumped when all hell broke loose," said Pendlebury.
"I won't be able to sit down for a week," said Beams.
Dale Thomas, who was picking up the soap at the time, miraculously escaped injury and will line up for the Pumped Pies tonight.
