For any Carlton related stuff that isn't match related, isn't a rumour, a general rant instead of a post match one, or just isn't that important that it needs a dedicated thread, but you just want to put it out there.

Treat this as a Carlton version of our General AFL discussion thread.

Note: It's not for general chit chat that is not Carlton related.

Awesome, I have a home ground! White shorts are off and I am in the baby....navy blue shorts!

This guy deserves to start this thread off, he should have played more games than he did!

Any chance you could 'redirect' some of the more conversational posts from the Rumour thread to here? It can get a little... sidetracked at times.
Carlton related conversational stuff ... sure. Chit chat ... nah. We have to decide when to snip that. We also should look at whether these conversations have enough in them to get a separate thread and whether they make sense if we remove them from where they started.

Even that's not Carlton related.
I guess that's why I was looking for the feedback. The rumours thread creates angst for everybody it seems. When we don't delete, it upsets those who want to read what they went there for, not conversations they are not a part of. When we do delete, we get asked why and what was the harm in it. It's the fine line between being over officious and a little apathetic. At least this way, people can see that consensus rules.

I don't envy you mods if that's the case! Clearing off-topic posts from the rumour thread will be like emptying a bath with a teaspoon.

Yeah. Good intentions and all that but we don't camp in these threads and if something slips to the next page, we may leave it, but delete stuff on the current page, thus the calls of inconsistency. If we explained all this in the OP though, posters might be more understanding.
