Not sure where to put this but - deputy principal of Trinity Grammar Rohan Brown who was sacked for cutting a students hair - is the same Rohan Brown that played 2 games for Carlton back in 1983.

Lucky he didn't cut Bruce Doull's hair.

Tommy Alvin started at the Club in 1984 from memory.

...Up rhymes better though...
It does, but given when the song was written, "us" fits in with the language of the time, keeping in the mind that the song was written to be sung by the players after a win. "They like to send us" is the players acknowledging they have been sent to represent the club. "We'll keep our ends up" is the players stating they will carry out their end of the bargain by performing to the best of their ability & representing the club well.

Lesson over, class dismissed.

Silver lining is that whenever we hear into played at the ground it is either pre-game when no one is paying attention to the song, and post-game when you're shouting over the top it with your own rendition.
spot on

Herald Sun again showing what an average paper they are. Reporting today that poor Richmond are decimated with four premiership players not available for round 1. Fortunately Carlton only have two out of our best 22..Lang and Williamson.

No mention of Docherty or Pickett (that brand new draftee they wrote about last week)!

Question is why are you reading the HS in the first place?

Would assume they are considering Doc out for the year when making a best 22 for 2018

Jon Ralph is their chief football writer. That is all you need to know. Laughable. I think when he did our best 22 last year the idiot named Armfield twice and left out 1 or 2 certain starters in a best 22. I think he is a writer but knows * all about football from his actual content.
