Bowden better be back next week - I might be covered if Thompson and Pfeiffer (which he should, given our injuries, Hadley being his only threat) can keep their spots, but damnit, I don't want to play Ibbotson, Thompson and Pfeiffer in defence.

He is out for 4 weeks, however thanks for the dreamteam game he will only miss the 3 games.

Its a hard choice to be made, but i think he is so important that i would sit him on the bench for the 3 games. Its not worth trading him because when he comes back he will dominate and you will regret trading him.

Heard his brother Kane say on the radio that he might miss up to 3 weeks because he needs an operation on his finger! Will cause a lot of head aches in peoples backline now especially with Bowden not playing, King apparantly doing a hammy, Thornton injured, Hartlett out, Nicoski and Pfeiffer will get dropped and Hurn has an injury to. IMPLOSION!

hopefully that means he'll only miss one or two games given the dreamteam game

I'm in the same boat - but unless either proud or selwood get picked this week - i am going to have to bring another defender in to ensure i only play 1 short

if not I'll bite the bullett and bring in either ibbotson or another defender who can get about 50 pts a week

My forward line is overperforming and happy with the midfield and rucks - just my bloody backline killing me

Trading Albert Proud for Ibbotson. Using Ibbotson to cover Cornes for a few weeks. Then upgrade Ibbotson in the future. Perfect.

I have my own backline issues. Chad, Thornton with Hartlett and NJ Brown on the bench. I have about 60k in the bank, haven't done the math yet but if the new prices and the bank allow it, I'm thinking Thornton straight to Milburn and then NJ Brown to Ibbotson with the Chad and Hartlett nursing their injuries on the pine for a few weeks.

What a horror weekend for injuries.

I lost Thornton, Hartlett, Cornes and also Symes for about a quarter due to injury. I have SDT and N.Brown (Coll) on the bench, so i will have to make one trade. I'm thinking Thornton is the longest term injury of the three, so he will be the one to go.

My backs include Cornes, Bowden, Proud, S. Selwood, Pfeiffer (Ellis, Goddard, Shaw, Milburn). I've already been wearing 0 for the last few weeks and it only gets worse...

Reckon it will be tough to keep the Chad out of the Port team. You watch him play with one hand and miss maximum 2 games.

I see him missing this week, then the dream team match. That means he has all this week, then the next week, and one more full week before the next match. Thats 3 full weeks recovery from last night. If he cant get right in 3 weeks (meaning he only misses 1 game!)...then he'll back back the week after as he'd have had 4 full weeks recovery.

From the point of surgery, to miss 3 games means he has had 5 full weeks.


To those looking for the price drop....i say to you that he will not get under 400g. He's currently on 436, with a b/e of 147 meaning you'd think he'd go down around another 20g. Its very hard trading in someone over 400g and Chad at worst will not hit under 390.....still much prefer having him from the start...this is just bad luck.

To be honest, you're not the smartest dream teamer if you didnt pick Chad. It was slim pickings in defence, and he is by far the best scorer. If it wasnt for this injury then he wouldve been unobtainable until around r12 when your duds pick up price, and by then you've bleeded 1000 points.




In terms of my backline woes....i still have nicoski who will have to go this week, will probably look at upgrading him to someone around 330g to cover Cornes, and play Pfeiffer and Taylor for the next few games. Either that or trade Nicoski down to another dud and leave the money in the bank

I just traded him in this week (sorry everyone, its probably my fault) so there's no way I'm trading him out again. I'll take donuts if I have to... and with Hartlett and Pfeiffer on the pine, its certainly looking a distinct possibility.

I'm going to trade him..........in my SC team . Just on the odd chance he misses 5 games it will give me a unique chance to catch the leaders. SC is sort of like my B team as DT is all i care about and Chad is staying put.

Cornes is an absolute tough nut and bleeds for Port. Unbelieveable that he even came back on against St Kilda. He'll be back quicker than the Doc recommends

BTW Kerr tore tendons in his finger last year that's why he missed 6.
