The Chad out for 3

I just traded him in this week (sorry everyone, its probably my fault) so there's no way I'm trading him out again. I'll take donuts if I have to... and with Hartlett and Pfeiffer on the pine, its certainly looking a distinct possibility.

Pfeiffer won't miss. He was quiet, but he didn't do anything wrong. Plus Carlton's squad copped 5 injuries over the weekend. There's no one to replace him!

Looking at the Carlton board, it appears Edwards would be the replacement for Hartlett, which is what I was hoping for, this will give me enough cover for now.

C.Cornes has 21 days to his next, next game. when they play hawks. So im expecting him to miss maybe just one game or maybe miss the hawks game aswell. Then they play the swans so it wont be a big scoring return for him any how.

Injuries are ruining this competiton.

Im keeping C.Cornes whats everyone else doing. Will take the 0 or hope S.D.T gets another game how did he go?? worthy

Good news!

Don't trade him out...

Power head fitness coach Dan Comerford provided this exclusive injury update for PortAdelaideFC.com.au on Monday…

Chad had surgery on Sunday morning which went well. We’ll be looking to see him back out on the training track in about a week’s time. He’ll be able to do some jogging and work indoors early on so we’re hopeful he won’t miss too many games. We’ve listed him as being three-to-four weeks away which could mean he’ll miss two Power games, given there is a week off with the Victoria v Dream Team game in a fortnight.

Edited for accuracy.

Whose a cheap back who will make money and be a good replacement for Cornes?
I can think of Ibbotson and i already have Pfeiffer. I have Selwood and Proud on bench, i need someone to play in the backline to make money and get ~40-50 per week i hope atleast :S lol

Ibbotson, will he play the neext 3 or 4 rounds? Is there anyone else to consider?

did anyone watch sports tonight? the chad might be in trouble with the tribunal

Got a reprimand..

He actually got rubbed out for one match.....

Injured Port Adelaide star Chad Cornes has been handed a one-match suspension for striking St Kilda's Jason Blake, but could still be considered a winner out of his decision to visit the AFL Tribunal.A 25 per cent penalty reduction for an early guilty plea to striking Blake in the opening quarter of Saturday night's match at AAMI Stadium would have enabled Cornes to accept a reprimand.
But it would also have left him saddled with 93.75 carryover points towards future offences.
Given he is set to miss three or four games anyway, after breaking a finger in the same match, the suspension for Sunday's game against Essendon at Telstra Dome is inconsequential.
And after serving the one-game ban, he will be left with only 25 carryover points, meaning he will be much better off if he is found guilty of another offence within the next 12 months.
Cornes is now ineligible to win this year's Brownlow Medal, but that would have been the case even if he submitted an early guilty plea, as the striking offence was worth more than 100 demerit points.
The only downside for Cornes out of his tribunal visit is that the one-match ban carries a 10 per cent penalty loading if he commits another offence within the next three years.
Cornes argued that his forearm blow was not of enough force to constitute a strike, and was initially aimed at Blake's body but slipped up to his neck.
He said it was a "show of strength" of the type that occurs "20 to 30 times a game" and he was stunned that Blake was even awarded a free kick.
But tribunal counsel Jeff Gleeson argued that while there was a "grey area" between what constituted a shove or a strike, Cornes' action was clearly in the latter category, as he had pulled his arm back then swung it through at Blake.

well theres nothing on it on the port board, another rumour i guess. hope so anyway.

They just said as the team changes came up, and Chad Cornes will be missing for 9 weeks.

9 weeks! Geez.

Can't wait to hear a source.....
If true...then damn.

No gun backman this year (Well I have Shaw, Bradshaw - wouldn't consider anyone else gunning it yet).
