As for their footy coverage, Cameron Ling was the kind of footballer who everyone wished captained their side. But he's quite quickly pissed that goodwill away with his inane personality. Luke Darcy offers almost no insight and I swear he must cut his own hair after 7 Crownies. BT and Richo work well together and aren't pretentious, they don't believe the hype and go over the top like that snippy, fawning prick Bruce. Sam Lane or whatever he name is is quite simply embarrassing. Leigh Matthews has lost his marbles...

He's in Sydney and he can barely stand, he's on the tiles (literally) for half the video and with this girl and this group of blokes who have obviously just bumped into him. "Hey Andrew O'Keefe! Are you okay Andrew O'Keefe?! Oi yeah, he's with us, it's Andrew O'Keefe!" These young punks try getting him to come to a bar with them to no doubt use him to pull. He then disappears into this random car.

I only watch Ch 7 for the footy (like a lot of people) and the occasional movie.

I also watch some Ch 73 for Family Guy and American Dad, and sometimes 72 for Air Crash and other docos.

I watch a LOT of tv (too much), and I'm telling yooz, they have more ads than anyone by a farkin mile. Sure, all the major stations have long ad-breaks in peak times (4 to 4.5 mins, including station promos), but Chs 7, 72, and 73 have maximum-length ad-breaks pretty much ALL the time, during any crappy show.
Other channels have shorter breaks during lower-rating shows and/or during off-peak time slots, but Ch 7 have long breaks all the time for any crap show.

For example: Ch 9 has shorter ad-breaks during late screenings of Two and a Half Men, but Ch 73 has full-length breaks for that crappy 1000 Ways To Die, even when it's on at 12am. (I did say I watch too much tv).

Reckon the pencil necked twat who smugly starts this video, like he's whistleblowing against ISIS but in actual fact stooping as low as New Idea's 'scoops', is a good candidate for this thread

I agree that the cross promotion of their new programs coming up for the year is incredibly annoying, repetitive and pathetic, but their actual coverage of the even is good.

Except for when a highly seeded player is on and they decided to show an Aussie ranked nobody knows about.

For me it's more the on court questions they ask players. There's been some shockers, especially for the women. I've seen them ask Serena bullshit questions about her clothes and holidays and home life, and nothing about the actual game besides "congratulations on the win, you must be happy. How are you going to celebrate?"

To her credit, particularly as my favourite women's player is usually WhoeverIsPlayingSerena, she tries to force in a "just want to say thankyou and congratulations to <opponent>, they played well and will be a hard player to beat in future" despite the interviewer's best efforts to avoid any talk about the game.

Didn't they ask Bouchard something about "who would your dream date be?" Cause it's not like she'd want to talk about beating the world number 1 player or anything.
