They've passed the baton to channel 10 as far as worst broadcaster of sport is concerned. It took channel 7 a while but eventually they came around to the fact that no one is buying delayed coverage in the internet era.

I certainly respect her, I'm just fickle with reasons for liking/not liking players. Not a fan of her temper tantrums on court. She does seem to have mellowed lately, though it's not a grand slam so she just might not care that much about the Hopman.

Torah Bright - retired winter sports athlete. Beyond Stephen Bradbury who became a household name because everyone else fell over no-one knows who our winter sports people are.
April Rose Pengilly - Who? Ch7 claim her to be an actor, I've never heard of her. Her father might be famous (Kirk Pengilly of INXS) but he has more self respect than to go on a show like this.
Eamon Sullivan - will grant actually could lay some claim to fame of being more than a D grade celebrity as was a world champion (also world Champion choker at the Olympics)
Paul Fenech - Ch7 employee contractually required to perform. Best work was done when working for SBS and could do what he liked.
David Rodan - failed AFL player who never was a star. Best possible description of his football was saying he was a good ordinary footballer. Career highlight was probably seen by many as a low light playing for Port in the 2007 GF. It's no coincide that Port improved when he left at end of 2012 and Melbourne remained shit when he was there in 2013.
Matt Cooper - Ch7 call him a NRL legend, Andrew Johns is an NRL legend, Alfie Langer is an NRL legend, Matt cooper was a top class player in his day, but not a legend.

Neither have most other people, I had to get a list from the web of who was actually on it. Reading the women I had no idea about any of them, I read the blurb and had a vague idea about one of them, the rest I could literally walk into in the street and still have no idea who they are. Heard of most of the men, mainly because I'm a sports nut and also loved the Fat Pizza & Housos work that Paul Fenech did on SBS.

Maybe true, but I have no interest in winter sports. The idea of having to be dragged up a hill to ski/board down it in freezing cold conditions just doesn't get my interest. Most winter Olympic sports are about as interesting as watching golf, I wouldn't even be able to tell you when the last winter Olympics was

I have a new profound hatred of John Fitzgerald.

Worst tennis commentator I have ever heard. He has something stupid to say on every single point. Can never let things left unsaid or just let moments of time pass without saying anything, and tries to explain things beyond the comprehension of the average listener just for the sake of making himself appear smart, as if he can read the minds of the players. All are hallmarks of a poor commentator. He'll comment on a player executing a certain tactic, and then within the next point he'll contradict what he said and come up with something completely different.
"He's really trying to dominate his authority on the rally by coming forward to the net as much as he can".
Next point:
"And there you can really see there how he's using his powerful groundstrokes dictating play from the back of the court to move his opponent around"

His interviewing skills are appalling too. And I HATE how he refers to all players by their nicknames or first names as if he's best mates with them all.

Why don't channel 7 make a play for someone competent like Robbie Koenig.
