The Chicago Bulls Thread - Feat best 3 guard rotation of ALL TIME

Bulls need to blow it all up, esp with the sad but inevitable likelihood Lonzo Ball will never play again.

I can't see any possible past for this current Bulls roster to even make it past the first round of the playoffs in the next 5-10 years, esp when you look at the depth of current good teams in the East and the inevitable rise of the Pacers, Magic and possibly Detroit emerging in the next few years.

The Bulls are in serious danger of ending up in no man's land like the Wizards if they keep running it back

Bulls go win now with Lonzo clone who has been to NBA Finals with Bucks and Suns, 3&D point guard Jevon Carter shooting over 40% from 3 last two years in college and every year in pros

Carter is such a nothing player. Coby brings shooting I guess.
Carter is Big12 3 time defensive player or the year and Naismith (best in the US) Defensive player of the Year and shoots 40% on pull up 3's and 46% from off the ball.

Perfect fit for the current Bulls roster, brings same strengths as Lonzo

A lot better shooting than Coby best return of 37% last year but eh I will stop putting facts in the story.

Look im not against Carter but it's just a nothing move. Doesnt move the needle at all. We will finish 10th in the West.
Jevon is 3&D, there is already 3 All Stars on the team bro (actually 4, shouldn't forget Andre was a complete beast last decade)

It gets us closer to a championship cos they we at least have one bonafide superstar on the team but we're not getting Dame.
Bona fide lol Dame hasn't even won a Conference Championship, didn't they start the season 10-5 without him and not make the playoffs.

In March Lillard was the highest scoring player in the league and Portland went 3-9, from memory.

Good chance Portland make playoffs this season with an actual team rather than Dame the black hole

Portland should bring back CJ from the Pels, he was the real talent in Portland lol

Source: Bulls apply for $10.2M DPE for Ball

Has to be for PJ Washington, can't think of anyone else of the quality and fit that you would go into Luxury Tax for - can defend 1 through 5 - and Charlotte's qualifying offer was 8.5M a year but their cap hold (amount they can pay without it counting towards Luxury Tax) is $17M, so would make sense for them to match an offer up to this number.

Bulls can only offer 1 year with DPE so maybe Bulls are offering up to 20M for a 1 year contract? ... would actually say he is the missing piece at the 4, 38% on 3, averages over a block a game, plays 2 way and either side of the screen and roll, and at 24 years of age fits age profile they are building under LaVine

Love what Bulls GM is doing, building a Nuggets of the East, like he did in Denver putting the pieces around the All Stars.

Has added 3&D and both with NBA Finals experience (and 100 playoff games between them) at the 1 & 4, the two positions they don't have All-Stars.

They got both for a total less than the MLE.

Still over 5M below Cap including AYO Qualifying offer, without DPE.

Who are they chasing with Lonzo's DLE exemption? Williams with his NBA Finals experience? PJ Washington?

Definitely building a defensive Culture!

Even the Bulls TV commentators were saying that they reckon this roster has until midway through the season before they blow it up, depending on the circumstances.

That was a really weak draft so I dont super blame the Bulls on taking Williams. Haliburton and Maxey were taken later in that draft though. Shame.

The only story point which will be fun this season is watching DeRozan climb the all time scoring list.
