In: Rutten, Schuback, Reilly, Torney

Out: Carey, Burns, Bassett, McLeod

F: Jericho Rutten Schuback

HF: Stevens Perrie Johncock

C: Reilly Ricciuto Doughty

HB: Massie Hentschel Edwards

B: Bock McGregor Begley

R: Clarke Stenglein Bode

Int: Massie Torney Burton Hudson

There's something wrong with McLeod and he either needs a rest or a wake-up call, Torney can take his place at half-back and is a good player there. Carey needs a wake-up call and maybe some confidence, it's time to give Rutten a run. Schuback is a far more long-term proposition than Burns, Burns has to go. As for Bassett, even bloody Reilly could probably play fullback better than Bassett. And we could do with some extra class in our midfield...so Reilly.

Burton should change up forward and be kept out of the midfield. While he is good enough in the midfield, he is unaccountable and much more dangerous up forward.

I would like to bring Ladhams in, but apparently he went off injured?

Both Reilly & JT are injured, so I doubt they will come back in this week.

I must have been watching a different game, because I thought Bassett was one of our few decent players today.

PS. We sure could do with 2 Massies based on Kris' game today!

Massie died in the 2nd half though.

Bassett's game was AWFUL! He got outdone several times by bloody Haynes....crappest player on the field...

Rutten for Carey
Although Rutten deserves a game, dropping Carey is not the answer. Duck kicked two goals today; not that bad of an effort.

Torney for Basset
Torney is currently injured. But even if he was fit, Basset played very well today in defense and is starting to string a few consistent games together.

Reilly for Mcleod
Reilly is also under the injury scope, but getting rid of Macca is not the answer. If his bad form continues, perhaps he should get dropped. It's a bit of a gamble really.

Schuback for Burns
There we go. Burns showed today that he is out of form, and Schuey has done well in the SANFL lately. Deserves a run much more than Burns, esepecially with his geunine versatility. Would definitely add some much - needed pace.

You must be kidding that the Hound was the worst player on the field! Bassett did not lose most of his contests & also gave us run out of defence. If the Hound was out crappiest player then I'm a shocking judge as I thought 75% of his team mates were far worse.

No, I meant Haynes was the worst player on the field (not specific to the game, I'm talking in general).

Bassett got beaten by him in some contests, which is atrocious.

Agree with your coments, however if the AFC is to re-model, unfortunately Bassett will have to be a casualty.
Sadly too small, underweight, and slow for FB. And he can't play another position.

Yes, I'm sure WB will give us Brian Harris just for the cosy sense of family of having the 'old firm' of Bassett & Bassett in the backline

By the look on the face of Reilly on Saturday, and sitting nearby, he won't be back for a while. Came up from the race and sat all day because hw could barely walk. Looked like he was crying too. :(

But i would NEVER replace Mcleod for Reilly. No matter how crap Macca is playing.

I love Brent, I really do...but he does overplay his injuries a bit. I remember he got a knock during a game last year and came off the field and sat on the boundary line crying...and came back on in the final quarter.

Be fair, its a tough game for an eight year old to play.

True, but that only applies to those good enough to get on the oval.

Haha, like that one. Fair call too.

We need to make some changes but unless a few players get over injuries, I can't see many that would really be worthwhile, let alone make an impact on this week's 'contest' (and I use the term loosely).

I have to say I was far more impressed with Bock's game today.
You really have no clue in my book

Bock looked so far out of his depth it wasn't funny. He didn't know how to handball, let alone to his own team, and his kicks were all just long up and unders.

I don't know what game YOU were watching? He made a couple of kicks that found their mark...a lot better than last week.

IMO, Bassett was so much better than Bock it's not funny. The Hound had a great game, whereas Bock was average at best. He needs to back to the Eagles & play some consistent footy & earn his place back in the side. Other youngsters such as Schuback, Rutten & even Mattner are more deserving of an opportunity based on SANFL form.
