Decision looms for Judd

WEST Coast superstar Chris Judd says he has yet to make a decision on his football future after mid-week surgery he believes was overwhelmingly positive.

While Judd denied a rumour he had chosen Melbourne, he said he would make his selection from the Demons, Carlton, Collingwood and Essendon in coming days.
Those clubs are set to chase Judd even more feverishly after news he could be back during the first weeks of the pre-season.
Judd said he had been told by surgeon Neil Halpin, after the adductor release surgery on his groin, his speed would remain explosive.
While there was speculation he would have surgery to remove a bone spur on his hip or groin and miss four months, he eventually had the simple adductor surgery on Wednesday.
He hobbled to the stage while presenting an award at the AFL players' association awards on Friday.
While he joked about his limited movement, he was clearly buoyed by the positive result.
"The surgeon assured me it is not going to hurt my speed," he said. "It is probably about eight weeks until I am ready to go again. It's a pretty good result and it shouldn't hold me back too much next year."
Judd joked it was his father who had tried to put $25,000 on his son to cross to Melbourne, sparking a rumour that swept the city on Friday.
But clubs expect he will identify a potential home by Wednesday at the latest.
"It's been a busy couple of weeks," he said. "I am normally putting the feet up, but I have had a couple of meetings on and had a few bits and pieces happening.
"I have had a few things going on - I have been up in Sydney and had my groin chopped up and I am trying to tie up a few loose ends. In the next week or so, I will come to some kind of decision."

Yeah all the Collingwood fans are excitable after reading that. They are forgetting the small fact that he was always going to deny the Judd>Melbourne rumour at the AFLPA MVP awards, a night or two before the GF. What does everyone else gather from that article.

that he's already come to a decision, and we as fans won't find out until his press conference, one thing Judd is very giving any clues to the media.

Well according to Caroline Wilson Judd is headed for Collingwood. She said that WC accept anything they have to offer or get nothing for him. She seemed confident on 3AW today.

We are dealing with the Bulldogs for pick 5, and Adelaide for their pick 10. Rusling isn't the one the Bulldogs want, they want Ben Reid played a few games this year, top 10 pick last year, and we are dealing with Adelaide for their first pick, with Fraser and N Brown been mentioned. Adelaide will get one or the other plus our first pick 14. We get pick 10 plus Van Berlo. Picks 5,10 & Van Berlo to WC.

I really rate Reid but I heard on Thursday, from someone who should know and I believe, that Collingwood haven't offered him and if they did we wouldn't give pick 5 for him anyway.

Pick 5 is off the table.

From what I can gather it's:

Melbourne: Judd, Sydney player
Sydney: Johnstone, Melbourne player
West Coast: 4, 11, 21

If that happens, I will get down on my knees and thank the lord almighty. Apparently we're looking to offload Miller to Sydney and we'll pick up Jolly...Not bad, not bad BUT I'M NOT GOING TO HAVE TO LIKE JOLLY IF HE COMES BACK

Not a bad deal but I prefer dspeed's offering which was very similar (post 656). Maybe they just copied you dspeed and made the rest up, but credit to you for getting wind of something that may be very close to true.

lets face it he is sick of west coast and would only stay because he is a loyal man

but we could be a real chance

lets say we finish down the bottom and get pick say 5 add that to travis johnstone and would it be worth it???

Apparently Amon Buchanan is looking to return to Victoria, so he may be the sydney player. Although I'm not sure we need to recruit another mid.

Jolly is close to signing a 4 year deal with Sydney, according to his manager, so Melbourne supporters and any other people who are trying to offload their hacks onto us, can stop wetting themselves.
