Can't say that I'm a fan of a sacked coach's salary coming under the cap. The reason they brought this in was to help even the playing field between the rich and poor clubs to prevent unfair advantages, but in this instance it's not only making things worse, but also specifically harms us as a poorer club. Without the cap, we'd be able to just pay him out and be on our merry way, but the tax on exceeding the soft cap means we'd be paying far more when we can barely afford the base payout in the first place. The idea of the tax is to deter money giving unfair advantages but, last time I checked, there is no advantage in needing to sack a coach!
