Haven't heard the David king stuff. Just more shocked . Don't know how I feel about Paul Roos
Sorry but I do not rate him. When he was coaching the Dees it was all "they, they, they" when they were losing. Never included himself. I think he's just a gun for hire.

Please No to Roos. Melbourne have been there done that. Home many more times at the crease does PR have in him? It would be a really unimaginative move, and if you're going to follow an unoriginal strategy you'd want to be sure it's going to pay off. And nothing is a sure thing, especially not wheeling out Paul 'Weekend at Bernies' Roos for one more shake.

Can we please try to think our way through this and come up with a strategy that suits the short and longer terms and also displays some sharp original thinking and analysis of our current situation? Up and down the line, where the Club is at, it all needs to be factored in and then, they need to head-hunt the brightest young mind in the game -- someone who brings fresh ideas but an absolutely hard edge. A leader.

Oh and we might be needing some on-field leaders too. :-/

I'll go ahead and say I personally very much underestimated the loss of Roo and Joey, etc.
There is a positive: if Roos is our coach we no longer have to hear him commentate!

I’d take Roos in a heartbeat tbh. That far ahead of Richo it ain’t funny. Also, I suspect the AFL would rubber stamp the signing or Roos/sacking of Richo without hesitation.
Same. AFL would be all over it I reckon.
Maybe we could have a real voice on equalisation as an added benefit.
He could argue against COLA .... oh wait.

Roos may be the best bet as head of football- he actually knows a little bit about the game. I reckon some highly regarded ex-footballers have been in Sumner's ear for weeks about what's wrong with the club on-field, and the penny will drop sooner than later.
I've heard worse ideas than this. But could he step away from the coaching position, personality wise.

Here is a rumour for you all... Paul Roos sounded out already by the saints. Richo has until years end to turn this around.

Not ******* clue if this is true and I am not saying I know anything more other then this is what is doing the rounds in a few AFL ponds this evening.

Wowee!
Roos indicated he was done when he stepped aside for Goodwin. Not sure about him TBH. He’d need to really want to do it rather than be motivated by a big contract.

I would see the logic if he was doing it with a designated successor in place like Caracalla. He would also need to establish a specific plan and structure that he builds around the coach that he can bequeath.

But Roos indicated he was cooked when he finished up a couple of years ago. We’d need to do our due diligence if it was a possibility.

He's cooked allright mate. Doesn't need the money, doesn't need the success, and if he coaches us for a few years, it's gonna get very confusing back in the box when he's heavily biased for THREE different teams....

He's in a constant state of being 100% filthy on him, haaahaha.

Bloody hell. A GT type, just maybe a bit less unhinged, is what we need I reckon....

*ducks*
Nah I’d take GT. He’s passionate about the club & is a great teacher of people. Get him in as director of coaching & I’d give it 12 months before he sacks the head coach, head recruiter & list manager & takes over all those roles for himself.

Just when you think there's no more room for nails in our coffin, we hire Roos and make Dixon his senior assistant.

We need a carpet snake with a few tricks up his sleeve like Rosco Lyon. I'm gunning for a freakishly lucky flag - not a dynasty.

The Dogs threw their way to a flag on the back of Gil giving a week off while mid acid trip. That's the sort of shit we've gotta pull off.

I'm not against PEDs at this point.

People may not rate Roos and I’m sure I do anymore, certainly did, but what he would do is give us a chance of getting class Uncontracted players. At the moment i reckon we will only get the dregs.

Summers did an interview on the weekend and stated that our season goal was to still make the top 4, endorsed Richo but says he has to show a major turn around. Basically setting him up to fail.

Wow. He's getting the blowtorch from Gerard and
Robbo tonight.
Gerard.. " I worry about your future."
