If he said that. That’s just batshit insane. We’re 1 -7. Why ? He’s setting AR up for a fall.
Agree. I think its Summers trying to save his own arse because they gave Richo a two year extension. There are continued rumours about a board challenge and are feeling the heat themselves.

They realise the mistake they made so they are setting him unrealistic goals to give them a reason to sack him.

Starting to feel sorry for the poor bugger. I am the first to champion he is out of his depth, but I hate seeing him go down like this.
Give it to Richo, the campaigner fronts up every Monday.

Results industry. No results no job. Brutal but thats it.

Also rumours that Summers orchestrated a very modest 3 month salary payout if Richo is sacked before his contract is up. Perhaps Summers is a more shrewd operator than we give him credit for?

Th shadow board will either challenge or not based on how much change they can effect first.

They are calling for a complete cleanout.

Either Summers does it or he goes as well.

IF we are sounding out Roos that would mean we would also be asking the same question too Clarko, who is a big chance to leave Hawks imo
Clarko is still tied to the Hawks until the end of next year. Don't think for a second that Kennett would tear the club a new one if anything happened before the end of next year.

Mate its all piss and wind down there.

Kennett making noises and Clarko thinking out loud about new challenges blah blah.

Just positioning and calling Kennetts bluff.

Clarko going nowhere...

I hate other teams!
Richo, make us win against the tigers and you're safe for the season.

Doubt it. A win against Richmond is still just like scraping some Polyfilla into a small crevice in the Grand Canyon if we don’t show any consistency in the following rounds

I would say with Clarko and how long he has been there that there would be get out clauses for both sides Coach & Club, we all know contracts mean Jack Sh1t

Correct.

I spoke to an astute mate of mine who is a Hawks man. Knows his stuff and is reasonably well connected. He reckons Clarkson is a big chance to leave and that Hawks might be keen to get Mitchell back from West Coast.

But it might be a year too early though, so timing could be an issue.

That’s exactly what he’s doing. It was a very legally written speech. Given that Finnis and Lethlean are both lawyers - he’s fait is written it seems.

It’s only a gut feel as I haven’t heard otherwise, but I dare say they’ve already appointed someone else in their heads.

That's OK.

We can lend them Roos for a year and then they can have a succession plan for Mitchell.

Win - win

Wouldn’t surprise me if that was correct.

I remember the reappointment of Richardson was pretty low key. Not much fanfare from the club and the coach himself.

Summers is a businessman on a board full of businessmen and lawyers.
