100% agree. I can easily see us installing him as a caretaker coach within the next 2 years. Of course then we'll see a rush of form due to new-coach honeymoon syndrome, then we'll be facing that classic dilemma of whether to keep going with the caretaker. It practically never works out, but we are exactly the type of club to fall for it because we're all about the "optics". We should be already courting Lyon. We need an old school type to fix up our culture of going belly up when we're under pressure.

We should have already made the call to Lyon. Whatever about 'finances', it's easier to find money than it is to find a good coach.

I have been firm on Goodwin not getting us to finals this year then it’s over. I still think that is a non negotiable.
However to his credit he has coaches very well this year. No doubt last year we would have s**t the bed after Saints got on top in the second quarter. We have learned to change the tempo and the foot skills have improved. Not perfect but definitely improved.
We have started to get the best out of ANB and Tmac again and Spargo showing his potential again. Showing confidence in Kozzy and Jordon to. Getting the back 6/7 functioning. It’s early days but a tick for Goody. Also acknowledging the added coaching assets.

Has been better this year as we've clearly changed the way our midfield works, but still only two games in.

Delegating match day responsibilities to the right people sounds like good coaching to me. Hopefully he is also delegating strategy, game analysis, player development, forward/back/midfield coaching, training drills and the like to the right people too.

Probably mentioned this before but I was asked to do a little bit of work for the club after 2018. My thinking is any immediate changes in the team's performance thereafter are purely coincidental.
