I think we all need to do our part to make this happen. Draft up a letter saying that you are Boyd's medical professional and understand that all of his joints are bone on bone, and he will never be able to play football. Send it to each team ahead of us in the draft.

He's been promoted from development coach to forward line coach.

I reckon that is the role he should of been given from the start, he's way better suited to it having been successful in his playing days there. Barker on the other hand, wasn't much of a forward player and quite obviously hasn't been much as a coach either.

People were bemused when Green was helping out with the midfield this year as they remembered him as a forward. He did play midfield but went to the forward line for the last bit of his career. One thing Green has always been though is a good kick. Here's hoping he can teach some of the boys how to put it through the big sticks.

Laidley is an A-grade appointment. Very highly regarded for his tactical nous. Murphy will be very excited to get the odd chop out for a change. Most of our bad quarters revolved around getting smashed at the clearances and Mick has reacted in a very smart way. With regard to Barker, Mick must see something he likes or Barker has got photos of Mick and a slow moving Ox.

Unless a poster works at the club or even closer, then no-one knows for sure the full story but is entitled to an opinion even if it isn't a popular one.

Besides, I recall a certain club president that the vast majority of members & supporters followed blindly who near sent the club into oblivion with his 'under the table' deals. Not every decision they make is 100% right so it stands to reason they should be questioned in an online forum like this, as supporters of the club we are entitled to that voice surely ??

We cleared out 3 last year. There's no way he'd still be there if Mick didn't want him.

Nobody outside of a club knows how good an assistant coach is.
It is impossible to tell, so I'm prepared to give Mick the benefit of the doubt.

Said it here before Shiek. I have no issue with informed commentary and none of us can get it right all the time. That's just impossible.
Nothing wrong with questioning all and sundry and at least you put up an argument for doing so.

Not sure whether contracts are tethering Barker to the CFC. They didn't seem to matter for other individuals but to be honest................I just don't know.

Sorry Harks....I wasn't commenting on Barker per se, more us internet nuffies sitting around each summer praying to the ghost of Soapy Vallence that this pre-season is the one we finally sort out our goal kicking yips...

I dunno the first thing about Barker....other than his name is John and he likes it when his missus <internet connection lost>
