Thank **** for that!and wants only one midfield coach, not two.
Thank **** for that!
What a shambles that was, went from being the second best clearance and contested ball winning team to being beaten every week and having no idea about the transition from clearance to open play. At times I wondered whether Riley and Williams had been introduced yet.

To clarify the structural changes, it seems Mick doesn't want/need a senior assistant, and wants only one midfield coach, not two.
I would love to get Carey and Scarlett in to the club. Scarlett doesn't really need justification, but I think Carey is the best at developing tall forwards, something we desperately need.
It would be negligent to not enquire about Scarlett, fairly sure someone will be onto it.
Fair enough. Not only do they require a payout if they are to go, but they need to maintain currency and try to pick up another role. If Ratten got the Port job for example, I feel sure that he would have a place for Riley and probably Williams as well. They need too know where they stand. Better still for the two of them, they could offer services for free at the Blues expense, just to get a foot in the door.http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/147650/default.aspx
assistant coaches taking legal action....barret
Geelong brought Carey in to work with Hawkins when he was struggling last July.Carey has been a big dropkick off the field but has achieved a lot with his one on one tutoring of up and coming players. IMO his past means nothing when considering him as an assistant coach. Had a lot to do with turning Fev and Cloke from players with potential into gun players. I've always felt we've been negligent in our development of talls with some players never learning how to compete one on one and never learning the tricks of a forward. One name stands out for mine, Kreuzer. Would be all for Carey being involved with developing our talls and being involved with our forward line.
Seriously thats piss poor by the club. Haven't liked how most of this has been handled at all, if you don't want them...tell em and pay em out.....what are 5 year olds running the show down there?
As someone above said, you wanted the change, now see it through in a professional manner.
Coaches are contracted. we're under no obligation to tell them anything before the end of 2013. If we're going to fire them, we're going to fire them. Otherwise they serve out their contract. Storm in a teacup.

Time to ante up Bruce and Jeanne. You wanted the change, see it through.
As much as everyone would love Scarlett to be a assistant coach, he is the sort of bloke who will go back and play bush footy with his mates, spend more time with his family and maybe attend a couple of Geelong home games each year.I would love to get Carey and Scarlett in to the club. Scarlett doesn't really need justification, but I think Carey is the best at developing tall forwards, something we desperately need.
