Hope you guys don't mind I've made this thread.
Since we had one for The Heat and i thought we could have one for Winter weather and the snow season.

Since we have no cold to talk about now.
With majority of the country going through record heat waves.
Here's some very light frosty snow i had on my car one August a couple years back.

I might as well conform to the stereotype of being a fair-weather Perth-ite (especially in light of the snow pics above ), by mentioning that tomorrow's maximum is going to be a mere /miserable /rainy 19 or 20C . Can't wait :)
(Summer is my least favourite season ....so I'm glad that there's officially only 3 weeks to go, or 2 weeks from end of the very pleasant current weekly forecast )

I rather put up with a bit of heat than have the head f*** of snow. It looks pretty, but practically it's just a pain in the arse.

Yeah, this is the most Vancouver has had since the 90s. Many side streets are a mess, stores ran out of salt for driveways and it just makes getting around a pain. Fortunately it's rare here. Usually you just get that pretty snow on surrounding mountains.

Talking about the weather just isn't interesting. It is what it is.
If you live somewhere like Singapore (where the weather barely changes over the course of a few months , let alone within a week or day) then true

We were hit with some more snow over the weekend. Hopefully it's the last of it tomorrow.

Oh dear, a "my snow's bigger than your snow" thread.

This was some other areas of Tasmania in the same cold weather event as my photos in the OP

Don't mind it. Melbourne is hardly that cold anyway. Only tend to get a few days a year where I really feel it.

Experienced some shocking cold temperatures and wind chills in the U.S when I was there. Not sure if I could put up with months of having to cover myself in layers upon layers of warm clothing.

I love the cold and can't stand the heat!

I would love to visit somewhere really, really cold, like Canada, Russia etc. That would be my dream weather
I used to love the cold, -1 or -2 Launceston nights were about my favourite weather. I struggle when it gets much below -5 these days, but not as much as I do in the heat. Even at 30 degrees I am utterly stuffed, pretty much unable to move and struggling to breathe.

I'm not sure I've been at anything below -10, so can't say for sure but think I could cope while not liking it.
