I stayed up for the Kyrgios and Nadal matches last night and when I went to bed it was 12 degrees, which in the tropics is like zero or minus five in some other places I've lived. You just get so used to the climate and therefore the cold feels more brutal. I also don't have any body fat and my extremities get that deathly chill. I wonder how some of the tropical international students initially cope when they first spend a winter in some place like Boston, Toronto, Oslo, etc.

that unseasonal wet winter rain was just nasty.

Meant to be working, but currently in bed under the electric blanket. I have steam coming off my breath inside my house

Between 2020-2021 I lost around 30kg. I have never been so ****ing cold in my life during the past two winters. I basically rock up to work in snow gear, have thermals on and still sit there freezing. Have also caught the both winters since despite not having ever caught it before. Starting to think being fat is the better option.

I've lived with porkers, there's something in this. I'm wearing layers and a beanie and they're walking round in shorts.

You definitely notice the cold more if you drop weight , the flipside being you don't sweat as much
