when thomas pulled/fouled haywood? that was disgraceful!!! i mean surely it was a flargrant!!!

and then one of the last plays of the game, zoubek (i think) hooked one of the butler players going for a board. shouldve been a foul. butler did get the ball anyway but ya know.

stern obviously has more power in the game than we know...

Nope, sorry mate- I was barracking for Butler and that was NOT flagrant. Both players were headed for the basket, and the Duke player was reaching back to try and slap the ball away- their arms got tangled and they both lost their balance- a flagrant foul would be if he out and out ploe axed the guy- and he didn't. The fall made it look worse than it was- and the officials DID check it out on replay.

Duke does not resort to that kind of play, in most instances- and certainly wouldn't do it in the closing minutes of a tight game.

They might have missed zoubek at the end of the game, but there were missed calls on both sides- the officials aint perfect- but it didn't change the game.

And for the Duke fans wishing they were in cameron, apparently Coach K did an excellent job today- and it is a great place for a basketball game, even if you're not a Duke fan.

So I'm ucla, cuz went there, another cuz works there. Been heaps of times- was there on Sunday.

Looked lovingly at the wooden shrine and got hard and ERECT. Hard.

Got a few nth Carolina and duke mates. They r bandwagoners and no where near as knowledgable as bf ppl

Never really had a team, just enjoy watching some entertaining b'ball.

The last few years have been following St Mary's and the Aussies quite closely so they would be my team if any.

Although I have relatives who might be going to UNC in the next year or two, so I could be swayed.

UCONN, love the program they have for their basketball have produced a great amount of NBA players. Was great watching Rudy Gay run around for the Huskies back in 04-05 probably what lent me towards being my favorite college team.

I love all the people on here quickly googling up some good excuses to justify their support for Duke instead of being honest and saying 'I'm a bandwagoner'.

it's actually quite amazing that out of small (in context) number of people who visit the board and support college basketball, and how many college teams there are that such a high percentage supports one team.

you guys are actually pathetic. you'll never realise it but you're the sort of ****ers who ruin sports. anyway. your loss as you'll never know what it's like to be a real fan.

Last year was a mess. This year, yes underachieved, but prior performances against poor teams showed the teams attitude.

It's hard to follow a single college across both Football and Basketball. Look at Georgetown ... don't even bother with the football program essentially. They are in Championship subdivision in the Patriot League

See, with UCLA, would you say UCLA underachieved in not winning the National Title with such a deep and talented team over that 3 year stretch between 05-08.

Look at that 08 side: Westbrook So, Collison Jr, Love Fr, Mbah a Moute Jr. You won't see a more talented team than that.

Yup it's very hard to succeed at both football and basketball. Texas, Oklahoma and the most obvious being Florida would be really the only exemptions in the last few years. They're what I call 'Elite' sporting programs.

On Georgetown football, it's been a basketball based college for as long as I can remember, football just isn't in their blood.

UCLA definitely underachieved during 2005-08. The core players they had were brilliant, obviously all of them have taken their games to another level in the NBA, but still talent wise that Bruins team should have won at least one National Championship.

I know we've done this for NBA teams, so y do u go for the college u go for?

As I said earlier, for college basketball I don't follow a particular team. I loved UCLA during the days of Collison, Westbrook, Love etc but I'm far more into the College football, that's where it's at.

I support the Oregon Ducks, and have done for four years. It all started with Dennis Dixon, and now onto my man Jeremiah Masoli even though he's suspended for the upcoming season for some criminal charges that he did on campus (stealing computers etc) plus lying to Coach Chip Kelly's face.

I suppose in one respect, I go for the Ducks because of the name 'Ducks' and my love of 'The Mighty Ducks' movie franchise. That's probably how it originated, but since then, it's gone a lot deeper.

Again, football wise, I also like the USC Trojans, have a tonne of respect for what Pete Carroll did for that football program, and also Texas with another of my favorites Colt McCoy.

duke. as discussed.

and the knicks? still one of the biggest teams, in one of the biggest cities in the world.

they're all high profile teams.

you're incapable of allocating proper support.

Nolan will return, Singler is gawwwwwn

Theres no way he can sell any higher on his own draft stock

Just look at Da'Sean Butler, freak injuries happen, why risk the millions, especially after winning the title

Duke and UNC (due to MJ) are the Cowboys/Lakers/Yankees of the College Basketball realm, all of those teams make me throw up. The hate runs so deep due to their uneducated wagon fans who stand up with no knowledge about anything outside of "YAY! My team won! GO BLAH BLAH!"

I can't take it

Why WVU?

First college football game I ever saw was WVU beat Ohio 24-3 back in '01 as a 16 year old

They sucked and went 3/8 that season

Its fun supporting the most winning-est team to never win a national title in anything

I recommend it if you enjoy epic gut punch choke jobs

You mean you went for Man Utd then Chelsea and now Villa? Yeah im trying to think of a word for that.... lol

The Knicks have won 2 titles and i went for them when everyone was going for the Bulls so if i was a bandwagoner i would have got on Jordan's dick but i didnt.

I followed Duke cause back in the early 90's they had a rilvary with UNC and everyone followed UNC. I liked many of the Duke players back then, i even have a Carlos Boozer Duke jersey which is something to not be proud of lol.

Man Utd.. well my dad went for them so i didnt have a choice. Actually i lie, i could have ended up a Spurs supporter if my dad said they were London trash so he did the right thing and i never looked back. Thank god he didnt like Liverpool.

Hey i follow the Canberra Raiders as well, guess im on the bandwagon cause how well have they been going the last 15 years?

Anything else AC you want to clear up? My support is proper my friend.

MJ making UNC? Hardly- he essentially layed a role in the dean smith chessboard that is Tar Heel basketball- you can name a slew of players (as you can with Duke) who made the program what it is.... Billy cunningham, Phil Ford, James Worthy etc. etc. etc.

I don't see them as hated as the pro teams you mentioned- and i lived in the triangle area for a few years....their programs are respected and so is their recruiting.

UNC was massive before MJ, MJ just globalised the shit out of it.

You all just want to be part of the crazies.

And have sweet JJ Redick sexy times.
