As far as I know all draftees sign a 2 year deal when they're drafted but the '06 draftees were rumoured to have signed 3 year deals, and when it wasn't mentioned anywhere that any of them were out of contract at the end of this year, I made the assumption that they did get those 3 year deals.

Personally, what I think really happened is that the '06 draftees signed 2 year draft contracts, then got extensions this season without any media coverage. But the 3 year draft deals humour some people so they're up there.

Anyhow, all the 2006 draftees are in the 'unknown contracts' pile, which I'm sure will get sorted in time.
 
I would say there all on 3 year deals but we just can't be sure (believed) which would be a good strategy as it takes that long to develop and come to speed and star playing most games which would give them less leverage to leave.

I'm nearly certain they were on 3 year deals because I met Will Schofield and he told me that he was on one. Not sure about the others.
 
After reading the book The Draft, it says that the eagles like to give eastern states recruits 3 years deals, and since the majority of the '06 draft came from over east it would make sense they had 3 year deals

After reading The Draft by Emma Quayle, it seems as though we give interstate draftees 3 year contracts when we draft them, to make them feel more secure and so on.

As a result we might find that Schuey, Smith and Jordan Jones are contracted until the end of 2011, not 2010, and that Ebert and Scott Selwood are contracted until the end of 2010, not 2009.

We should be able to confirm this later in the year.
