Went back to look at when Lynch's last contract was announced in July 08.

The West (the article isn't online any more) reported it was for 3 years, but the Hun said the club didn't release details.

Looks like it must have been only 2 years and the West got it wrong.

I just hope GC pounced on Lynch during the loophole and signed him preseason, I would imagine we would get a pretty nice compensation pick for him given his B&F finish last year.

Those contracts should have sources but often papers or websites get things wrong. As a result, this thread is far from perfect.

Can I ask why you think Nicoski signed on for 1 year and Lynch is out of contract?

Hey Jimmy. Regarding Will Sullivan, you have him listed as a 3rd year rookie, which I know he was. The thing is he was upgraded to the senior list before round 1 this year as insurance in case both Cox and Nic Nat struggled. Was that elevation a permeneant thing, or was it just for the season, meaning that technically he's still considered a 3rd year rookie, and could be shown the door at season's end? Any idea?

He was a nominated rookie = senior listed for 2010, but still needs to be permanently elevated at the end of the season to stay on the senior list.

Rosa, just 23, has backed out of contract negotiations with Eagles management.

...He is already in the sights of several Melbourne-based clubs who had previously assumed that Rosa would stay at West Coast with a minimum of fuss on a new deal.
