The big selection difficulty will come when selecting Morrel's replacement. The question when looking at the replacement is what role does he fill. With Burton and Petrie likely to hold their spot, the player to come in will need to be a forward marking option, and this is where the dilema is.
Corey only took 4 marks and from what Denis has said, he expected more. This puts Lindsay in the front seat. With Wayne on one leg, we need another marking option, and only Lindsay has shown that form. Corey will only get in because of his history. The better ruckman will not matter as they should be selected on the basis of a marking forward.
The only other to be considered in Watt. The advantage is that he can go back as well. But I still think it is out of Lindsay and Corey. Here are my changes:
IN: Smith (L), Rawlings
OUT: Morrell, Jones
Clayton should be out also but not sure about team balance if we bring either 31 or 36 in for him. The Saints are fairly tall though and Jones did play primaril as a smaller marking option so anything could happen.

Wayne Carey is apparently a near-certainty to miss the match with his dicky leg, so Corey and NBT may both get a spot yet. Might also mean that Morrell gets retained.

Hawthorn won on Saturday night because they had too many marking options up forward for the Saints defence, hence Croad and Barker each kicking a few. One would think that McKernan, Rocca, Morrell, and Smith would be a fairly formidable (size-wise) combination, while still being fairly mobile. This is of course, in the event Carey does not play.

Burton should be retained also, as his height will be needed to counter Everitt in the ruck, who slaughtered Thompson and Rehn at the centre bounces, and was just about BOG. Maybe Burton at the centre bounces, and McCartney following Everitt around the ground?

Will height be important if we get Geelong type weather on the weekend??
Dylan Smith and Daniel Harris may find themselves back in the team.

Burton was even more useful in the Geelong game, because the conditions negated Steven King's ability to jump, and Burton used his height to beat King at the centre bounces.
Probably a bit risky, then, taking both Smith and McKernan into the forward line, especially with Rocca already there. If Pagan has a preference for experience as he did in Geelong, does that mean NBT has to wait ANOTHER week? :(

Well Paul Hamilton told Malibu and I that he wants him in - its a little hard when he is not the only team selector!

Getting away from footy issues.

I was really impressed with the supporters and Corey handled themselves at the Cocktail party.

It would have been easy for:
Corey not to show or only stay for a little while, and
The supporters not to ask for photos or autographs (seeing he has been copping a spray).

Every time I saw the big bloke there were groups of people around him.

Go the big Corza!
:)
