Hughes gone past 150 to add to the discussion.
How do others feel about Wades performances?

And just like that he picks up another wicketLyon is bowling very very well today. Although they arent really looking to score off him at all

As for Wade, the knock has always been on his keeping in the longer game. I dunno, probably on current form the best candidate for the job. I reckon, though, if Paine finds form and avoids injury, he's the guy the selectors would like in the job.
I don't believe he really has ironed out those issues. Having seen him bat, he's still suspect outside off stump. Though, a 150+ innings is a good way to show selectors that the weaknesses are under a little more control.Hughes' form is heartening. If wiser heads had prevailed when he was last thrust back into test cricket completely unready for the challenge, his re-entry into test cricket w0uld have been delayed. The talk I'm hearing is he's far improved, both from a technical and mental perspective, but yet to see him bat this year. I have no doubt that if he's ironed out the issues he's a far better proposition than a few in our current top order.
I think Wade will only get better. I thought he was almost unsighted/blocked by Smith with the stumping chance. He reminds me a bit of Steve Rixon, who was very tidy behind the stumps. As for Wade, the knock has always been on his keeping in the longer game. Mmmmmmm. Could happen to anyone. And I did defend Youngy in the Granny, so who am I to start slinging off now.
Carn fellas.
Yeah, shocking miss. I'd only just left the ground when that occurred & saw it on replay & winced.Ur, Wade just dropped the bloke just before tea.

Only Hawks games that are played on school days. Ah, the sacrifices we make for our families.Thought it was only Hawks games you left early?
