You'll not watch another match where Kohli is involved? Seems a bit extreme, you'll be missing out.

outrage culture. media over-saturation.

funny you say this, one of my close mates is "outraged" (aren't we all supposed to be about something at least daily), he is outraged about Kohli and his behaviour, where as I laugh at it. I'm finding cricket a tough enough slog to follow at the moment as it is, and if Kohli can be a dastardly villain, well great! how good does it feel if we beat his team..

Just not sure anymore, but i am warming to the opposition having villains out there...Besart Berisha of melbourne victory over here in perth is another one who is capable of setting the locals off in fits of outrage...

I hear you. Over the years there have been many "villains", like Tony Greig, etc, but it was entertaining, even Javed Miandad used to amuse me greatly. If it related to the game, I never minded it.

However, Kohli has gone well past that, as have the others I mentioned. I draw the line at false accusations, and Kohli is guilty of this. He doesn't even have the decency to apologise for what he has said. Nah, he can get stuffed, there's plenty of other cricket to watch without having to put up with him.

What false accusations? The DRS change-room assist?

Yes, the fact he claimed it had happened many times before but no evidence could be found this was the case, as well as accusing Smith of making fun of Kohli's shoulder injury when it was clear this never happened. He was just making things up to cover for the fact he was having a bad series. Even whe it was proven this didn't happen, did we hear an apology from Kohli? Of course not. He actually went on to say he always thinks about what he says, and believes what he says ... even though he was wrong.

...many times...
He said he noticed it twice when he was batting. You're outright calling him a liar. Right-e-o.

The umpire was pretty quick to send Smith off, no review. He must've thought there was something in it.

At any rate, I'll enjoy watching the return series and you'll enjoy something else. :thumbsu:

Would love India to be knocked out in the group stage of Ct. Aussies against England a must watch game for cricket fans

Another sterling performance from the Aussies on the sub-continent.
It's incredible to think that we've avoided playing tests against them because they "were not up to it"

can someone tell me what Pete Nevill did wrong? has always been the superior gloveman to Wade.

If you believe the talk at the time, he was too passive and that they needed Wade's aggression in the team.
Make of that as you will.

if that's true, that's s***house. Neville is the superior cricketer.

surely with Warner floating around the wickets normally in gully/point/cover etc that would be enough.

Well there you go, Warner can bat in Asia!
Solid start, can we go on with it?
Great yo see Lyon bowl well, whilst times I've counted his ability to do what he's doing now, I've always thought he's seemed like a good bloke so rapt for him.

Selectors pick a keeper who hasn’t made a ton in a decade and barely keeps for his state after dropping the past two keepers because of their batting. Guy they bring in drops a regulation catch. Colour me surprised. :(
Disgraceful. what were they thinking?

It was a very strange decision... AFL-esque...

The best thing about the win is that the selectors will be less inclined to drop Marsh for Maxwell.

Bancroft's innings now makes life difficult for Renshaw who now really needs to battle his way back.

I'd prefer Maxwell. Adds another bowling option, also a much better fielder. Still don't get the love affair that the selectors have with SMarsh, but not sure anyone does.

Whilst this was a good win, does it paper over a few cracks? We were largely saved in the first innings by Steve Smith. Cummins did his job, as did Lyon hanging around, Smarsh was solid, but the rest were generally average. We are a good front running side, but I think we were lucky to have a lead going into the second innings. If England do get Stokes, then I think this series has a lot more twists and turns to come.

We don't need a bowler/fielder, though. We need a batsman. Maxwell has just scored his solitary big score for the season.

How many has Marsh got? no tons this year, a pair of 50s, and a 91 isn't it? now a test 50. still no tons
Maxwell has a pair of 60s, and now 278!!!
the bowling/fielding is a added benefit.
