Perhaps a sensible post when quoting tiny greig, is best wishes to tony and his family.

You cold bastard.....

Channel 9 will be bare in the commentary cupboard without tony.

Sorry mate.. Didn't realize that Greig and his family were regular readers of BF. I do love it how everyone wishes people well ect... blah blah blah. Its PC gawn bloody crazy.

In saying that, I will miss Tony's commentary if he is not able to be there.

Hmmmm, I wonder what Billy Birmingham is upto these days....

So Haddin 50/50 for the first test, 60/40 or 40/60???

With the number of people talking him up, i'd say 50/50, should be 10/90

He must be shelling out bribes by the bucketloads. Even Watson claiming that Hads in is 'career best batting form' ect.

You know what, I kinda want him back in just to give him one final shit canning sitting infront of the tv.

Nah, life's too short. Get Wade in & have an end to this farce.

It's the NSW mafia thing. Just about everyone coming out is a NSWmen. They all stick togther. Wade is the man who should be playing in the first test, there is no doubt. I feel for Haddin, he lost his spot unfortunatly, but, well, stiff. Wade took his oppurtunity and deserves to keep his spot

This little campaign about Haddin has been going for about 6 weeks now.

Well time will tell, another good innings by Wade in the longer form of the game should do it, against a very good Tasmanian bowling lineup.

Meanwhile Haddin is notching up some ok scores in the 20/20... Exposure to the longer form of the game for Hads wont come for a few weeks, and even then he needs to push Phil Neville out of the state squad.

I was in Sydney on business last week. The Haddin campaign was going full bore on the evening news.

It's been quite obvious of late. Not so subtle lobbying. I still believe that should his body hold together, and he hits a bit of form, that Tim Paine is the guy the selectors want behind the wickets.

What's the story with Ferguson. I watched him a bit a few years back and he looked good to me. I know he's had his injuries but he doesn't seem like he's come on as expected.
Ferguson hit a pretty authoritative 115 not out today. Was very strong off his pads.

Not much more than a yelp from most of the other batsmen. Hughes was caught high on his pads, Klinger played on after being dropped at second slip by Hauritz. Miller doesn't look up to it. Cutting bowled alright & Hauritz won't be troubling the national selectors again IMHO.

When Simon is bowling there's swing alright.... An almighty SWING from the batsman sending the cherry two bounces into the fence for four!

That sounds like a physical challenge... I have an older kookaburra 4 piece in my study desk... Next time Simon_Nesbit is in Melbourne, I think Henry Jr should have a net against him.

Whaddya say Simon?

Taped tennis ball did you say Boonie?

I don't know about that, I'm carrying a fair bit of extra "conditioning" these days. :(

Still, if the challenge has been set, I'll be in Melbourne at the end of November.....o_O

Has anyone been following the Shield game at the 'G? Tassie scored very freely. Was it due to good batting, bad bowling or was the drop-in pitch a straight, flat road?

Would have thought 3.3 rpo is a fraction under par these days. But yes, I think its a road.
