And another disgrace that there is no coverage of the game at all on the Cricket Aus website.
It really is a terrible website

No free to air radio coverage of the India-Australia tests. Star Group is charging huge rates for the ABC to have broadcast rights.

Ah well, just another reason to spend more time in the pub watching it on Foxtel.

Yep, a real shame.

I know this is going to be tough for you, mate, but I am sure you can do it. Just grit your teeth and keep your head down. We're all rooting for you. ;)

Doherty led the way for the spinners... Lyon ad Agar shizen.

What are the chances Farwad gets the call before the tour is out?

Yes, the figures of the spinners don't make pleasant reading.

It reminded me of the Clive Lloyd quote in 1976 to Padmore, Jumadeen & Inshan Ali: "Gentlemen, I gave you 400 runs to bowl at and you failed ... How many runs must I give you in future to make sure that you get the wickets?"

I read somewhere the other day Boonie that he's struggling to get an Aussie passport ect. in time for the tour of England and some fast tracking of the red tape may be required for that so the chances of him in India would be zero (unless John Howard was still PM).

Given his origins, I'd say the security clearance Farwad would require to get into India would prohibit getting a visa.

If he makes the Ashes tour and gets a baggy green... And from the very limited vision I've seen, he's a real chance.... What a fantastic story that would be!!

Here's one for everyone to ponder.

Given this will be Cowans second 50 of the tour, going to be hard to given him the flick, does he stay as opener, move Watson to open and shuffle Warner down to 4?

Why can't Watson bat 4?

Why can't Watson bat 4?

Well, he avgs 44 as opener and elsewhere its becomes 25. Other option is Ed bats down the order.

Its like shuffling seats on the Titanic really isn't it?

Watson did made a double ton in a Shield final batting at four.

Shit, he's is a career 37 avg batsmen that converts one in ten of his half centuries to three figures. And we're talking about him likes he's our lynchpin.

Just watching the pakistani dismissals in their second innings against South Africa.

Integrity Unit should be watching them too.

Might not need a decision to be made re the opening spot...

Shane Watson may opening the batting in the first Test in Chennai with Ed Cowan after national selector John Inverarity revealed significant concerns about David Warner's recovery from a fractured thumb five days before the first Test.

Im pissed off if this is the case. In an ODI against the Windies, Warner copped a ball on his thumb yet they persisted with him for the next ODI. He then cops another blow on it in the nets. FFS, we rotate bowlers out when they have no injury yet we continue to play batsman whom have a niggle.

Oh well, atleast we won the ODI series thats the main thing going forward....

The only consistency in the rotation policy is that it is inconsistent.
