That's a nice way to put it.At least Thommo is vaguely eccentric.
Mad as a meat cleaver is another.

Is that at the arse end of the universe? He's interesting at least. Deano orbits his own black hole.

I was in outback Australia on Saturday and the only radio you can pick up is ABC.
So I was listening to the Shield game and they were talking about Ponting injury....then saying they could not afford to lose Watson and what happens.....Watson's shaking his head, yep he has done himself a mischief. I was laughing.....Whatever our fitness programs are, they are a joke. Our bowlers cannot play two games in a row, they just break down. What are we doing about it?
If he plays 20/20 big deal, the fact of the matter this guy needs to put some hair on his chest....breaks down as much as X Ellis (or should I say Luke Hodge).
So going forward, needs to be told, either test OR other forms of cricket, he cannot play both. For himself, another breakdown and he may choose the Chris Cairns route and just go for the money.
Sorry if this has been covered, but whats our all rounder depth like?
Now, what should I watch WI v Bangladesh or Aus V SA........
All rounder depth isn't too bad. Andrew McDonald, Dan Christenson, James Hopes are good solid players, Henriques has started the year well, James Faulkner is more a bowling allrounder as well as Steve O'keefe if you want a spinning allrounder. Problem is, none are anywhere near the complete package of Watson. Losing Watson is huge. He's a wicket-taker and a legitimate top order bat.
And probably add John Hasting and Glenn Maxwell as a spinning alrounder.
Watson only avg 36 in in the past 4 years. Not good enough for a top 3 player.
On another topic, has anyone used the Vodaphone cricket on their phone? I am porting from Voda to Telstra on the 14th Nov and thinking about getting a Voda pre-paid just for the cricket using my old phone. Would that work?
Not sure on the phone.
Good call on Hastings and Maxwell, not sure how I missed them. Probably the most glaring miss from me is Mitch Marsh. He is probably the one guy who could achieve the legitimate top 6 bat and solid medium quick combo which I need.
So, what sort of prospect is Jayde Herrick?
Does he have a future at the top level?
I noticed he got 5/51 in the 50 over match last night to go with his 5/60 in the most recent shield match. His name didn't ring a bell, so thanks for your answer TBS.Decent state cricketer but that is about it.

Their bowling lineup is better and their batting lineup is better than ours. A drawn series would be a victory for us in my eyes.
In other news, I read today that if we win the series, we goto number one in the Test Rankings... WTF
Have to agree. Don't think he has age on his side. From what I've seen he lacks a bit of control and could do with an extra yard of pace to be a really attacking bowler.Decent state cricketer but that is about it.
Yeah, I think you're right. Always filled with insightful observations like "he's a quality person". It's probably just a News Ltd stunt with the content ghost written by an internIsn't one leaked every series now Langers?
Making Starc 12th man is surprising for mine. We look completely out-gunned.
