Did he hit that? Got the father-in-law here prattling on about cosmology....

Nope. Didn't hit. The 3rd umpire can't even get it right. Joke.

Hang on, then why's he out? Did the third umpire **** it up? Or was it some sort of 'umpires call' crap?

Could have been a feather, but inconclusive.... Surely benefit of the doubt goes to the batsman

Third umpire made the call. Tony hill has shafted us here.

Ridiculous that if the umpire gives you out there has to be conclusive evidence you didn't hit it.

Isn't the fact that the footage shows no evidence that you did hit, conclusive evidence that you didn't?

No, that's the thing with DRS, and something I hate. If the umpire gives it out, and you challenge, but the results are inconclusive, then it's umpires call isn't it?

Surely, on that replay, where there isn't something conclusive, you have to give it not out.... surely.

Despite the rough end of the pineapple being inserted for these last 2 outs, it must be said that if the batsmen could actually bat there wouldn't be a problem. Rogers should have clubbed that into that stand and Hughes is having an almighty wooshka to a wide one after facing only a handful of balls.

And Watson.........well he just misses straight ones.

Ah, Usman. FFS.

One of the basic tenet's of the game as been thrown out the window with the DRS crap.

It's one of the reasons I hate it so much.

I mean the whole notion that reviews are tactical, that you can have an advantage over the umpiring and the game, because of when and how you use them, is patently absurd.

When the system fails to eliminate howlers, like Rogers decisions, or shoot out batsmen who where clearly out, like Broad, the system fails in my eyes. It is, after all, the very reason why it was brought into the game in the first place.

And my personal favourite, where the margin for error on an LBW varies depending on whether it's the umpires call or not.

It's bullshit. it's got so over complicated and wrapped-up in endless conditions and stipulations that it makes no sense. Common sense needs to be brought back into it.

I posted it earlier, I'm with the Indians on this. I'd prefer a less imperfect system that makes sense, than what we currently have in place.

And all for what?... To stop an umpire from being embarrassed. All a bit in vein really

Yes, as opposed to the game being embarrassed.

I love the little line in propaganda about the percentage of right decisions increasing so it must be good.

The thing is the ones they don't get right are often stinkers, and they fall through the cracks, like Broad, then it makes a mockery of the system.
