Does anyone rate Peter Siddle as anything more than a whole hearted competitor with medium talent and tricks?

Essentially not test class IMO.

I'd say Siddle is test class but is a good member of the pack rather than an outstanding leader of it (On talent that is. On heart he leads from the front).

I'd say he's established his credentials over the last 12-18 months (and improved for the period prior) as a genuine test quality bowler. He ain't no DK, but deserves his place. We have a better No9 though.

Sad, really really sad. Just a limp wristed finish. Top order has to take a good hard look at themselves, which shouldn;t be hard as at least two should be watching from the stands next test (Hughes and Watson for mine). At the mirror, they can jostle for position with the selectors, as they need to have a bloody hard look themselves.

Siddle has struggled on all his tours of India.

He's come back a better player each time.
