Really interesting day. We'll be disappointed we didn't make more of the great start while they will be disappointed they stumbled at the end. All in all that's an even days cricket. Sadly, as AH has alluded too, they could possibly declare now and still have enough to get the win in this Test.

Our bowlers are doing a great job of putting us into Test matches with a chance but unless the top order fires at some stage, the results will always be inevitable. You just know at some stage during the series the England team will put 450+ on the board despite the best efforts of our bowlers, so our batsman are duty bound to dig in and get the big scores while our bowlers are going well as a reward for their efforts.

And unfortunately, we also know at some stage during each Australian innings we will lose 3 or 4 wickets in quick siuccession, Clarkey is having a bit of a slump at the moment after a couple of years of superb form, only natural, but we need 100s from him in order to win Tests. Our other batsmen just have no clue how to play TEST cricket.

I am hoping they prove me wrong ... hopefully tonight.

Couldn't agree more AH.

Too many T20 techniques and mindsets amongst our current lot. Batsmen who have the constant need to feel ball on bat without any idea of how to play the V early, leave balls outside off and basically just build a solid foundation for a big innings.

I am still trying to get over Rob Quiney. Beginning a Test career, walks in at Number 3, about the 3rd or 4th ball tries to tattoo the ball into the members stand, gets caught on the fence ...... and the media said he was UNLUCKY!!!! FFS, nobody that early into a Test innings, and especially a career, should even be thinking about the shot let alone actually attempting it.

That's the mindset Boof Lehmann has to change, and change quickly.

Ah, Brad Haddin. Can't believe Wade went out for his keeping to be replaced by a shit keeper 10 years older. Thank **** the next one went straight to him.

Absolutely plumb... And reviews????.

This is what Shane Watson is all about. Getting out of the blocks nicely, playing across the line of the ball, and arrogantly wasting a review.

I have absolutely no idea why this guy keeps getting a game. No one in the time I have followed cricket has given me the s--ts more.

Seems to be about Watson's limit these days 30-50. Not good enough. As for the review, why in hell didn't Rogers tell him not to bother?
Maybe he did.

Watson clearly has no idea where his stumps are.

Watson's selfish use of the DRS costs us wicket no 1

Watson's a goose. Seems to have the concentration of a Mexican Walking Fish.

Nah, it's more the absurdity of the whole thing for me.

That wasn't out. Yet they routinely check catches and the like for no-balls.

Whole thing doesn't make sense to me.

Anyways.

No doubt Rogers reviews successfully if Watson hadn't just pissed one up against the wall.

Still, awful decision and should have reviewed anyway - was always missing leg. Understand why he didn't though.

It had such a weird trajectory, I found it hard to judge
