It's a pity Warne could never be a company man off the field because every time you hear him talk, you just know he would have been an imaginative, proactive and entertaining captain on field.

Can't argue with that. I remember his captaincy as one day captain. Was very creative and it got results.

Two wickets down over night is not a bad result. Will need to find some wickets in the next 50 overs and knock over the tail with the second new ball.

Didn't it look bloody close from first view? Would have thought from a tactical point of view, given the batsman, the form he was in, and the state of the game, and how close it obviously was, that's exactly the situation you would have gone for a review.

important partnership, I would have thought review was the right call.

Atleast by bringing a spinner on you know that KP will go after him thus creating a chance in itself even before you have bowled a ball.

Thought he took Lyon off too early for mine. Would have liked atleast another over. He wasn't bowling pies and was getting good revs. Had plenty of runs at the time. Was worth the gamble imo.

Close yes but for a not out overturned it has to be more than half the ball hitting. You have to be pretty sure about leg stump lbws.

As I write this smith has bowled about 5 full tosses in one over...

Its how SCG McGill got many a wicket. Smith needs to be given a chance to settle.

I think I have worked out what is wrong with Lyon's bowling. Bowls with too much over spin and the ball rotates anticlockwise in the air so that by the time it lands it is more over spin than side spin. He is actually getting the same revs as swann. That would also explain why he seldom drifts the ball.

Going to be a very interesting day 4. Once we get into bat surely we'll just try and hit everything for a boundary?
Will Clarke have a lead in mind before we declare or just do it at a specific point in time regardless of our score.
